Hey guys! I just got super sad when I realised I wouldnt be able to play this game until like half a year later than the americans, so i began to wonder WHY does it take so long time to get it to europe? Is it just Rising Star thats being really slow or do they wait for the american version to get out or whats the deal?!

Ahhhh I dont even know if it is Rising star whos going to translate it, but since they've done it with the recent games I'm just assuming.. Oh well, why does it take so long?! Does anyone know?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this or if i've made anything else wrong, Im kind of a fishy

Well I don't live in Europe but a key factor is for the European market it has to be translated into 3 or four languages other than english,so it takes more time than America.Another thing is that for couple years Rising Star wasn't localizing any new games so they are basically playing catch-up.

If not later for Europe. It's most likely what Usagi5678 said though; that there's just so many different languages that they have to translate to. However, I'm not familiar with Rising Star though, so I can't say anything for certain

Wait.. Why did I buy a 3DS again last weekend? Oh right I forgot I was looking at American release dates. I should've imported one..
It kind of pisses me off though.. In the Netherlands we don't get a special Dutch version (and I wouldn't even want a Dutch version), but we still have to wait until the other languages are done.
Besides that AWERHKUHAERKJGSKKJ Region Lock! More like Rage on Lock...

Yay, Dutch buddy :D
Good luck with waiting for the game, I guess...
I hope they'll be a bit faster with the European release date for this game than with ToTT

Whoop Netherlands ftw lol
At least the normal DS was Region Free so I was able to play ToTT when it came out in US... I really don't get why the 3DS isn't

Hopefully a Region Unlock will be out in time for the US release haha!

Yeah, region locked handheld consoles strike me as incredibly silly. I'm likely to take one with me when I travel so I have something to play on the way!

Boo. I wish this game wasn't so awesome! I was determined to not buy a 3DS!

Well, the point of a Region Lock is to protect the economy of your own country. You're forced to only buy games locally so you're only supporting your local countries instead of some other continent that might offer them cheaper.
But the whole problem with this system is the fact that a lot of games don't come out in all regions (or at entirely different times). Some of my favourite games ever are Japan-Only, so I would be forced to buy multiple 3DS's if I wanted to play all my favourite games =/ Now that's just stupid..

The main reason that region-lock was put into place was because of the internet. The DSi/3DS internet browsers are different in each area.It also applies to Wi-fi connection too:for example if you try to get one of the Japanese event pokemon on an english Black/White cartridge it won't work.

Me too! Then I saw this was coming out and my DS broke...so on board I had to go. I don't even like it. I can't play all my games anymore, and the stupid start button and power button are messed up!! Anyways, I'm glad it's coming out later in the year for USA, which everyone is Europe and elsewhere didn't have to wait over a year for the game to finally be released there!!!

Is it seriously because of the internet BROWSERS? Because the DS had internet too, but not region lock so it must be just the browsers. I don't even browse the internet on my DS =/ I have a computer or laptop or mobile phone for that. That's the most stupid reason they could've used to implement region lock... I'd rather even have no internet, but the ability to play any game I want to...
