How do I raise friendship with Nick and Haila? You cannot give them gifts nor chat with them. Do you get FP by buying their food everyday?

That is right. Buy food from them and give them ingredients to make recipes. That is how you become better friends with them.

If you don't want to spend money, drink water everyday. Eventually you can see a tiny stamina (I think) gain.

yup, you can raise friendship by giving them ingredients by making something.. and you can buy from the shop too!!! i do that everyday and now my heart is 10 so... Gud Luck!

It will have a small effect if you wear a Large Friendship Pendant. It is not a fast process since you only get points for accessing their menu and getting recipes from them. Wear the pendant when you do both activities.

No, it doesn't work when you go to sleep. Whenever you earn friendship points with a character, the large friendship pendant will give you a 100% bonus. So if you talk to someone, for which you would normally gain 100 FP, you will now earn 200 FP whenever it is equipped and you're talking to them.

Exactly, I actually read a thread about using three large pendants and I put the three each in a separate slot whenever I accessed the menu and used two when I gave one of them a recipe ingredient (my Large Harvest Goddess Pendant never leaves my four equipment slot).

Not that I need anything to raise anyone's friendship at this point, but I'm feeling dumb now...

Okay I keep 3 large pendants and eat out Haila's everyday, but she remains at 1 heart!

It is a very slow process. Get recipes from her as well. If you get 30 recipes from her, you will receive a sunstone from her. This will also raise her heart level.
