I let my chicken out to graze and I can't find it anywhere! Where the hell did it go?

Have you really looked everywhere on your farm?
I believe you if you say you did, but I haven't heard of any chickens leaving the farm by themselves...
And it's not like your chicken died, since you would have heard something about that the next morning.
I hope you find your chicken

It probably is either hiding among the crops or in the bushes at the top of the ranch. Look everywhere on the property. From Sprite Island's bridge to the boat dock for Lighthouse Island, behind the house, near the windmill, all the corners of the property.

If it is night time, look for a conversation bubble with ZZZ. When I misplaced a chicken that's how I found it.

If you don't find it before morning look on your field for an egg. The chicken may be nearby.

You can also hire an Orange Sprite to move your chickens back into their shed. Just talk to the Sprite while they're in the shed and they'll give you the option to bring the chickens in.

Chickens can be quite evil sometimes...

It's better to build a fence and put the chickens inside it. Near the coop is the best place, so you won't waste much time if you're moving the chickens by yourself.
