A few more spaces would be certainly welcome! I got used to dealing with the 6-letter limit, but I do miss the old days when we had all the spaces we needed~

^ I thoroughly agree. The only one where I've kept my name is MFoMT. I don't mind giving myself a new name though. And I guess having 8 letters in my name name can be a bit of a stretch for the game.

I'm happy I have a four letter name for when I want to use my real name in games liek these.

i'm good. my name is only five letters. but it would be nice to have a longer letter limit for naming animals, and my kid.

Haha, my name fits right into the 6-letter limit XD.

But my farm......is a different story.....

IT HAS 7 LETTERS. All we need is seven letters sometimes, man. But now i just use random words.

I'm kind of surprised by all the people who like using their real names in HM games. I can't use my name in any video game. It feels weird. o.O So I have an arsenal of other names to use~ But I suppose for those who do like using their names, a limit can be rather annoying...

I usually use my real name (or some variation of it, if I can use kanji I use kanji, and I never use my real last name), unless it's a boy character... then I get more creative ^^

What sucks is that my name is 4 letters (or 2 Japanese characters) so I don't get to have as much fun picking out nicknames.


But "Master" still fits within the 6 letter limit! How weird would it be to date Allen and make him call you that.

I know how you feel. It feels weird using my own name on my games. I tried it once when I was playing a Pokemon game and it took me some time before I got used to it. I tend to search for what name I'm going to use, that's why it took me 5 minutes before I could fully start my game. But if ever I'm going to use my real name, it would exactly used the six letter limit.

It's really a pain if the name I want to use exceed the six letter limit though. Some names I tend to pick have more then six letters. That's probably the reason why I took a long time in the naming screen.

That and the FARM. I always find myself sooo limited when it comes to farm names because 6 letters is just unrealistic...
