Only a two slot tool will be available in year 1. To put in three wonderfuls (one purple and 2 green) you need to be in year two and wait for Gannon to randomly have the three slot tool (3,000).Turnipcurry wrote:Want to gain money without wasting any in game time? Then check out my mini guide called How to get free Money!! without wasting in game time.! All you needs is one or more purple wonderfuls and two green ones.
I would start with the coop. Mirabelle will give you a chick. By the time the hen is producing eggs you should try to have Gannon build you an incubator.
You can use an egg to incubate a new and use the eggs you get from all of your chickens. Have Gannon put in feeders as you need them until you have enough chickens (maximum for the coop is 12 feeders).
You can populate the entire coop without buying a chicken and you can put any eggs in the shipping bin or cook them first and sell them.
If you can raise Mirabelle's hearts to 7 by your birthday she will give you a silkie egg. You can incubate this egg (don't forget the feeder). You can sell the silkie eggs.
With your crops as well and cooking whatever you can, you will have enough money for the barn. I did before I fully populated the coop.
A maker shed with a mayonnaise maker will make your egg profits greater, especially if you use the silkie egg to make mayonnaise. This will speed up your ability to raise the capital.
If you have Volcano Island raised, you can raise your mining degree to the 10th floor where the adamantite you need for the makers is located and the gems you get on the first nine floors will help you make the coop feeders and the maker shed.
You can make your own building products and use the green sprites at Gannon's shop to lower prices so the coop and barn will cost less. If you have Animal Island, give the monkeys strawberries to get them to forage lumber for you if you cannot forage enough branches. This is a good place to put the Green Wonderful Turnipcurry mentioned. If you have a two slot tool (2,000G at Gannon's on a random basis in year 1), also place the Purple Wonderful so you will gain 2G for each piece of lumber you make.
The mine will also provide gelatin which is 50G per gelatin.
You will find that this will create an income stream

The number of slots relate to the number of years in the game. Gannon will only sell a random number of tools for the next year until you get to year 10 (the maximum number of slots is 10). The only way you can have more than two slots in year 1 is if you have an indigo wonderful, you can have either five or six depending on whether you have a one or two slot tool to begin with and are fortunate enough to get an indigo wonderful in your first year.

normally, if you need more money fast, plant crops.
and i mean spam the field with them.
im pretty sure i'm growing 2 plots of to,atoes, two corn, one pumpkin and 1 or 2 onions.
If you want to earn money fast though, collect everthing! from weeds to herbs to mushrooms (if you have mushroom island)
If you have the mine, go there everyday!

When going in the mine it always helps to save every few minutes so you can reload in case you fall down a hole or accidentally overwork yourself. As long as you do that, it's no problem at all to mine already early onJuliuslove<3<3<3 wrote:Don't mine.
Chances are you'll collapse every time.
Put that off for as long as you can.

If you have a kitchen you can bring enough snacks to get a lot of money from the mine.
If you are just starting out, bring some herbs, gather gelatin and gems until you run low on stamina or can not go down any further due to your mining degree, now go up to the top, hit the diner or cafe then go down in the mine again. If you ship your gelatin from each trip you can make a couple of trips which will build your mining degree so you can get the kitchen and a coop and barn. Milk and fried eggs are the best mining foods very early in the game.
Also avoid pitfalls. Save before you go down the stairs so if you accidentally fall you can reload and keep going in the mine.
If you have yellow wonderfus move them to your watering can. You will use less stamina watering all those lava bubbles. If your stamina is low and you want enough to get to the stairs (in case it is so low that a pit fall will send you home to bed) use the black herb and gelatin you collected to replace enough stamina to make your escape to the top safely. These two mine foods are not great restoratives but they will get you to the top if your stamina is low.

It's been a while since I played, I forget.

No, you can save anywhere at anytime. I constantly save during my trips to the mine. But I agree: don't mine in the beginning.Juliuslove<3<3<3 wrote:You can only save at home though... right?Kittyfarmer wrote:When going in the mine it always helps to save every few minutes so you can reload in case you fall down a hole or accidentally overwork yourself. I suggest growing crops. Those are the best for making money, in my opinion.
