I'm so, so, so sick of this. I have never seen people complain this way about any other console. WHY DON'T PEOPLE GET IT? IT'S BEEN OUT FOREVER, and is pretty cheap at this point, too.

It's also even more ridiculous because Natsume doesn't make the games. They localize.

Yes lets count our selves lucky its backwards compatable with DS games so we can keep playing our old games!

Especially if that older system can't support the memory needed to play the new game, which is one reason why ANB is on the 3DS instead of being on the both the 3DS and the DS!

i'm going to join this rant bandwagon for a quick comment~:

what ticks me off about the whole DS/3DS thing is ignorance on the end of the whiners - no the system is not just for the damn 3D, yes it actually does have a purpose, and no games will not work the same if you put it on the DS. It's had its reign, and now that they want to do more with portable games with content, memory capacity, and etc. it's time for an upgrade. Yes, the 3DS is expensive, and yes it doesn't support GBA, but if you want to keep buying games as time goes on it's a necessary upgrade.

it's especially annoying when you see the « Baaaa *glomp* » ing that's been going on on Facebook since the game was announced. people won't stop whining. NATSUME DOES NOT MAKE THE GAME YOU IDIOTS. STOP COMPLAINING AS IF THEY DO.

Still, try to put yourself in those people's shoes; it's understandable that they're bummed out they won't get to play the newest game. The 3DS is expensive, after all, and while it might be a "necessary upgrade", it might be a bit too costly for some.

Thank you for the price overview, but... not everyone lives in America - and in other parts of the world the prices are often much, much higher. Even after checking just what exactly does $169 amount to in my country, I still have to say that is a very hefty price.

Still, I do understand your point - and I certainly do not approve of such behaviour; after all, it is unreasonable to expect the game to be ported to an older system.

I feel like the people who complain are American tweens, though, not people who have legitimate price issues. (Well, a tween probably doesn't have $160 lying around either, but exchange rates can make things very expensive.)

There's also an extent to which Nintendo shot themselves in the foot by making a million variations on the DS, and then calling the new console the 3DS. I can see why some people didn't realize that the 3DS was officially a next gen console when they've lived through DSLite, DSi, and DSi XL... it's just very frustrating that they somehow STILL haven't figured it out. People never complain about Vita games not being for PSP.
