You mean reaching platforms by jumping into a "vortex"? Just try to allign your shadow (when parachuting) with the one for another vortex to get sucked into that one and give you extra boost.

This game isn't just walking into dungeons and beating them, there is alot of stuff to do before even it is possible to reach some dungeons. I like these mini-quests :)

Ahh so you're in the dungeon at Mount Crenel already. Don't remember those platforms separately, but there are alot of those lava platforms in that dungeon :?

The basic idea is that you flip it with the Cane of Pacci so that the smooth side is on top and you can walk on it safely. Then after a short time the platforms sinks in the lava because of your weight, try to time the stepping on the platform so that you'll have enough time to step on another one or go to safety on solid ground.

but it breaks even before it slides beside the solid ground T__T

It starts the breaking process only after you've stepped on it. After sinking to the lava you just use the cane again (you can use it from a distance) and time your steps right.

I'm now at the Wind Ruins. When I got the small key, I opened the LEFT door instead of the right. I'm afraid I made a big mistake. Did I? What shoud I do now?

Well in any Zelda game you can never really mess yourself up by opening a door you shouldn't, all you really have to do is maybe backtrack and look around for another key or item you may have missed but now can get.

Sagaciousfarmer, no worries. As Cassik said, no harm was done. I don't remember the details of the Wind ruins that well, but I can say that there are no dead-ends.

Did some of the chicken catching mini-games yesterday. Some of them were really tricky (5 chickens in 45 seconds) and I gave up when the task was 3 in 55 seconds. I looked everywhere in the village but only found two yellow chicks, always running away from me.

Sidequests are bigger little things you have to do in the game. Examples would be the library books and meeting Librari and the quest for the flippers. Then there are the sort-of side-quest of collecting figurines, heart pieces and fusing kinstones. And exploring places, especially Hyrule Town, as a tiny-Link also gives the game a new perspective.

What happens when you collect all the figurines? Does something special happen?

Also, how do you get help for the Goron who's trying to break down the wall in the cave near Lon Lon Ranch? I traded Kinstones with him, but a different Goron appeared, and all he'll do is sell me kinstones. What do I have to do to help the Cave Goron?

There are several mysterious walls hidden in caves you access with the mole mitts. The mysterious walls look like "buttons" on the walls. Fuse kinstones with these and get a new Goron for each one. I still have one mysterious wall to find to get the last Goron and finally gain access to the fourth bottle. You'll need six Gorons in total.

When you collect the figurines you get a special medal and possibly something else too (haven't played that far yet). But you'll end up with mysterious shells along the way, and the only way to spend them is by trading them for figurines, so why not do it. You can trade for figurines 131-136 only after you've beat the game, so collecting them all isn't a quick process.

No problem, glad I could help :)

I finally found the last mysterious wall to fuse with, and I resisted the temptation of just looking it up at gamefaqs. I got this game for Xmas and during the first week or so of gameplay I didn't even have computer access, so I was forced to battle through the "I'm stuck!" parts on my own. Feel pretty good now, since if I were home and had computer access during that time, I would have looked for help at gamefaqs many times. I don't like walkthrough-playing, but I only have limited time for gameplay and if I'm stuck, I want just to get the situation over with and seek outside help rather easily.

Sagacious here. I'm logging in as a fish cuz I'm too lazy to login.

Well, whatever the boss is, you'll probably need to use 1. the temple item. and 2. your sword.

You get the last piece of a heart container aswel(Ive been after that one for so long) when you fuse so that you can get the bottle, one of the gorons wants to fuse.Do so and a giant goron appears in the veil cliffs(Forget the name) and when you complete the game,go talk to him and he upgrades your shiled,or something like that.

Sag which boss?do you mean Vatti? or the last boss in a particular temple?
