Please do not double post, please edit your post if you want to say more.
I chose SI, since it's much more challenging with more personality-filled characters then GrB.

I think there is kind of a big difference in difficulty between the two games. Sunshine islands seems to have far more to accomplish, and with the sun/water points, you have to pay attention when growing crops. For grand bazaar, it just felt far less challenging and I always thought it would be a good 'beginners' harvest moon title.

Grand Bazaar, because is more relaxing and I don't need to hurry with anything.

Those two games are so different, it's a bit hard to choose one over the other... I guess it depends on what you're looking for in a game!

SI is much more challenging than GrB, with the sun and hunger systems you really have to pay attention to what you're doing. GrB is more lax and carefree, you don't have as many responsibilites as you have in SI. The character development and interactions is also much more pronounced in SI - you have to get more involved with the community, but you're also more rewarded for befriending them. In GrB the characters are more static, their dialogue barely changes, they're also much less three-dimensional.

In the end? SI is better if you're experienced in HM and looking for a challenge in your , GrB if you're just starting out and want something easy and relaxing~

This would be a tough one for me. . .

I really enjoyed Grand Bazaar. Just the whole idea seemed to bring me to it. Though, as many have said, it's not as challenging as Sunshine Islands. But, as for myself, I like things that have a bit more challenge to it.

Sunshine Islands has been my favorite Harvest Moon game since I played it. Sure, the other games were fun, but this one stood out to me. There are just so many accomplishments you can hit, so many things to do.

I'll have to go with Sunshine Islands on this one.

I choose Sunshine Islands. I only played two of 'em. But I already saw some videos of GB, and I think SI is more chalenging, have a nice history, and nice characters (and some cute bachelors too!), and a lot of others good things...

I agree.

P.S.: This is my first post, I'm new here!

Grand Bazaar was, by far, the WORST Harvest Moon that I have ever played. The characters were boring, the graphics stunk compared to the other DS titles (the buildings looked like they were cardboard), and there was no mine or shipping bin.

Sunshine Islands was awesome. I really liked the characters - they had way more personality than the GrB characters. Sure, the hunger and sun/water points systems make things complicated at times, but it's one of my favorite games to play nonetheless.

I like GrB better. I couldn't get much into either of the islands games. But I'll try again sometime with SI.

Edit: Ah. Didn't see how old this was. D:
