So, I was wondering, with wild animals, is the only way to bring up their heart levels by putting, in my case, rabbit food in the little holder thing, or is their an even faster way to do it? Because I would really like to raise the rabbit's hearts as soon as possible. Thanks.

Rabbit food gives the rabbits +5fp. Their favorite food is carrots, which will give +9fp.

You will need to feed them to get them to like you. Once they accept you it will be possible to pick them up and you will get friendship points for picking one animal up every day.

If you use Spinach to feed the rabbits you will get 8 points but Spinach also feeds the ducks and mice. It will help to feed as many animals at the same time since you will eventually have a need for all of them (except maybe the sparrows) at some point in the game. If you feed one at a time, you will have to start from the beginning each time you want to raise the heart level of that animal.

Just make sure you don't pick up the animals before you have 3 hearts or more with them.
If you do, you'll lose FP.
