Anyone else contemplating purchasing a 3DS for ANB?

I already have a 3ds (its the only way I get internet) but if i didn't, i would definitely buy a 3ds for ANB.

By the way... I'm also waiting for the release of animal crossing and scribblenauts unlimited.

I will finally break down and be purchasing a 3DS, but I'm going to wait closer to the release of ANB and get the 3DS XL when I do. I was hoping they would release one because I prefer the larger screen. I hear it has a better battery life as well. Yay for that.

Do people really have such a problem with battery life?
I never had a problem with it, even with Wifi and high brightness on.
Maybe some people got a 3ds with a weird battery.
So if you are going to get a 3ds I suggest one of the first things you do is check the battery, though I don't know if you can take it back for faulty battery

I've seen a lot of people complain about the battery life, but I hear it lasts just as long as a regular DS and PSP. Personally, it's not a problem for me since I never play for hours without a charger nearby, but you never know about other people. Just remember to keep good battery saving habits like charging your handheld only when it needs to be charged and what not.

Honestly, I don't know if they have a problem with it or not. I've never owned a DS or 3DS, but I do know that, if given the option, I'm likely to take the one with longer battery life.

The battery life is very good. Many electronics eat battery life even when turned off, but I turned my 3DS on a few days ago for the first time in many months and it was fully charged. I got about 7 hours of play out of it before I had to plug it in.

The only thing about the 3DS is that the 3D and Wi-Fi drain the battery quicker, so if people have both of those on, that may be their problem. I keep the Wi-Fi off and only use the 3D sometimes, so my batter lasts about as long as my regular DS did.

Oh well I don't really have 3DS games other then DeSu: Overclocked, but even with that the only things 3d is the opening and fusing of demons.
so I just have WiFi on all the time and use the internet on it.
I don't know if it does, but use a car charger for it if you're going to a lot of places, I usually bring the chargers and stuff with me when I know I'm going somewhere for awhile.
So when ANB comes out I'm probably going to have the chargers with me 24/7

I can't wait for ANB~

Well, I got a 3DS just because my last DSi broke unfortunately U.U but i am definately getting some Mario exclusives, and i am getting RF4, and might get ANB, thats for last, not because for best but because i want to wait on how some people feel abour it first.

I'd have to say the same. I got my 3DS as a gift, but if I didn't have one I'd definitely buy one for ANB...

Well I've been wanting a 3DS for a while now, but I'm not buying it just for this game, the 3ds has a ton of games out that I want, but this game coming out does make me want to get one sooner..and the blue 3ds xl is looking so good right now <3 So yeah, a purchase is coming soon, hopefully by my birthday which is late in the year.

I bought my 3DS for Kid Icarus: Uprising. Best decision I've ever made. But if I hadn't bought my 3DS for that reason I would've bought it for ANB.

Same here! Though I'm also getting a 3DS to play another game. I actually did this with my Xbox 360 a while back when I bought Tales of Vesperia haha. the things I do just to play an awsome game sheesh

I got my preeeeetty purple 3ds for my birthday 11 days ago, but only because I begged and begged my parents for one :3

There were a few reasons why I wanted one, so I can't say ANB was the main reason, but it was one of them.
The main reasons were...
1. ANB (can't wait!!!)
2. Tales of the Abyss 3D (which is freakin AMAZING!)
3. Kid Icarus: Uprising (another geat game that my brother convinced me to buy)
4. Finally.......ANIMAL CROSSING 3D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't. Wait. Much. Longer.

So...yeah...ANB was a reason for getting a 3DS, but I got it mainly because I knew about a few games that were only for it. Animal Crossing was a big factor though...

Basically, ANB and Animal Crossing 3D were the main reasons, though Tales of The Abyss is amazing!
