Soseki doesn't appeal to me. I don't mind the fact that he's older, but older bachelors always tend to emphasize how much older they are than the MC and that's just annoying in my opinion. Why do they always have to point out how they're "such an old man" so often? In Soseki's case it's especially stupid because unlike Carter/Griffin/etc, he's only in his 30's. That's not as young as the protagonist but he's hardly "old".

I'm definitely going to marry Soseki. I've always thought I would marry him, even after Neil came out. I do like Neil as well though...just not as much as Soseki, at this point.

I'm thinking about making Soseki one of my top choices (the other being Sanjay). But I'm not going to decide in anybody's favor until I get to know them.

What I've read is that an accident forced him to retire... they haven't released much in English so we're kind of in the dark about everything.

I might marry him, if I decide to marry every single person in the game.

Well I have no reason NOT to marry him? But for the moment, Neil and Amir are going to take up my two files though. We'll see if he makes me change my mind, but I doubt it

Maybe? I mean, I'm interested. He's not that old. His design (specifically his face) is a bit odd, but it's not necessarily his age that bothers me....

...but more that I know that he'll be constantly griping about his age that annoys me. Well, technically, I don't know. But...more or less I expect that to occur since this is Harvest Moon games we are talking about.

I have already posted the reasoning behind my love of Soseki on another topic but to reiterate -

"I am simply am loving Sengoku because he reminds me so much of Kyouraku Shunsui from Bleach if anyone here has watched it. He just has a relaxed and calm personality that I find attractive. Too bad we only have such minimal information on any bachelor/ettes or I might be able to make a more definite opinion."

It was Sengoku that sold the game to me. I was dithering over buying the game; it was my last week in Japan, my last day in Kyoto, and the two halves of my brain were arguing over whether I should spend the last of my available funds on Kimono or manga, when I blundered into the BookOff at Sanjou and picked up the game. Turned it over, and there he was, posing on the back of the box.

Brain Half One said "Kyouraku!"

Brain Half Two said "You have a worrying and childish crush on Kyouraku, and therefore on this guy, whoever he is. You have more than enough yen to buy this. You have a J3DS already because of KH and Abyss! You can have him! Buy it now! And then we can go for kinako mochi and macha bubble tea because you will never get to taste that again omg"

I have always had this thing for the older gentleman. My partner-in-crime at High School called it my Oyaji-con. Accurate, yes. Dubious, yes, but at least I know what I like. And I'm well past 22 now, so I can do what I want. >:P

So, yes. Sengoku for me! Followed by... Either Allen or Niel. Allen is well-groomed, but Niel has black bedsheets. I bet they're satin. :3

I actually really like him!!

But I decided I won't make a decision who to marry before I've played this time. I do it every time and end up changing my mind anyway mid-game XD

Maybe I'll marry him. Depends on his personality.
