is there house upgrades or do we buy diffident houses?

As far as I know, you can customize and upgrade your home

You can only customize the interior wallpaper, flooring, and furniture from built sets. You can't customize its interior layout or its exterior.

There's a house upgrade that adds a bath room and WC

The only thing you can't change is the colour of the curtains, it's always green which is kind of annoying when you want to have all one colour, like I do.
