I'm thoroughly convinced this is a different Witch Princess Entirely, and not the same character with a redesign. This one was a well-meaning Tsundere, and there was some consistency of the original Witch Princess being a necessary force of Chaos who enjoys the less savory part of her job.

I'd like to see Stu and May all grown up as marriage candidates. After Paolo and possibly Chole- who is just about the only kid in the series who actually acts like an actual child- they're my favourite kids in any HM game ever. Bonus points if Kent is also grown-up and a marriage candidate. He was cool and deserves to be in more than one game.

For that matter, I'd like to see a direct sequel to either ToT or Animal Parade where the kids (including the rival kids) are all grown up and available for marriage.

I'd also really like to see the HM64 versions of Gray, Cliff and Jeff (especially Jeff) show up in a game as bachelors. I know Gray's second regeneration showed up in MM calling himself Blue, and Gray was a villager in ToT, but still. The world needs more 64!Gray.

Jumping on the Stu and May bandwagon hard, but can we please not forget KENT?!?!

I think 64!Stu and May were pretty spot-on kids? They were very young, to be sure, but... Also, playing BTN:FG now and Stu seems pretty child-y to me, too.

Oh « Harvest Goddess », this T_T So we'd have... Paolo, Heath, Van, Roy, and Matt as the guys, and Dakota, Vivian, Angie, Lucy, and Chloe for girls? This game is making itselfffff. (Heath would be so popular..)

Ying from ToTT is pretty child-like, sure she also acts a bit grown up, but she knows that she is a sick child so of course she isn't gonna totally act like a kid, but yeah a lot of kids in HM don't act very kid like... Rahi was such a little adult, and Cheryl only used her kid-ness to control Ash... Eliza in SI/IoH was not very kid like and Charlie had his own store for chrisake, and he was completely in love with Eliza.
Umm.., can't think of other unmentioned kids...

Idk why but if all the kids in the harvest moon games grew up and became marriage canidates-that would be kinda cool! lol dunno why XD Every single kid was up for marriage and there parents and etc. were the villagers! (duh)

I think a lot of kids that act like her are the kids that are kinda mature for their age, but they want to be taken seriously so they try to act like an adult. But they're still a kid, so they end up seeming super bratty. i was exactly the same way at 8 lol

I don't mind the cameos, I just wish they chose new characters instead of Witch, Goddess, and Pierre, or Grand Bazaar games because imho that was the weakest cast... :/

I guess you can say that. What about the MC's children in past games grown up as canidates? That'd be so cool.

Yeah, you gotta give credit to Ying. I guess you could say see she was childlike, but she was sick. And she didn't try to act mature sometimes. Rahi and Cheryl, I hated them the most. I mean like seriously?

But in all seriousness, I never actually played HM64 or the SNES. Back to Nature was my first and I will forever stand by the Mineral Town and AWL characters until the day I die.

I really do think that any future installments of Harvest Moon are going to include previous characters as marriage candidates. Nostalgia is a powerful force (especially when it comes to marketing), and if these forums are any indication, there are a lot of HM fans who have been fans for years. Even though this is the case, I'm pessimistic that we'll see less popular candidates showing up. It'd be like Rick showing up in a new HM (ok ok, maybe not that extreme, but I'm just using it as an example). Yeah, Rick has a ...handful* of people who think he's the best bachelor, but I think many people don't like him. It just makes more marketing sense to appeal to a higher percentage of players with the fan favorites than to rotate the less seen (though equally loved by their smaller fan base) characters.

I'd go after Roy. So hard. But Paolo and Matt would be a little redundant, since they both would possibly have fishing as their "thing."

I don't mind characters returning... Only if they're from fomt.

For some reason I really connected with those characters, but not with any of the newer ones (after ds)

I never played the game boy or 64 games though.

Hopefully the characters in ANB will be like-, or dare i say it, love-able! And that then counts for every HM character after ANB, and including RF, but I actuallly think that the characters in RF3 were like-able.
