Since you said you're already on the lovers state with Dylas, have you activated/used the Doki-Doki Zoom feature?
I've barely heard any news about it ever since it got announced back in 2011. :<
I have no idea about it yet. I've only done a couple date events, so I'm not exactly sure what doki doki zoom is yet. Maybe I could activate it but I'm too dumb to know how :p Or I don't have high enough LP?
SailorDanielle wrote: Oh, and how interesting is the storyline so far on a scale of 1/10? And will we get to find out who Frey/Lest was before they fell off the airship in some point of the game?
The plot is WAY more involved than previous RF games. Compared to the other games I've played (RF2, RFF, RF3 (I have ToD but barely played any of it)), I give it a 9 or 10. If I'm comparing it to all other RPGs I've played, the score's gonna be much lower, but that's because I have really high standards from storylines like Xenogears/Saga xP It doesn't seem fair to compare RF with those though.

Yeah, no seasonal dungeons, just seasonal fields and ponds.

Some of the gates are a real pain. They can have elemental properties, and what's worse than moving around, now and then there'll be gates that hover over spots where you won't be able to physically hit them; you have to use magic. On maps where all the exits are blocked until you defeat all the enemies. But a little challenge is a good thing. I wonder what hard mode is like ^_^

So, from what I've gathered, I believe there to be a plotception. A plot within a plot.
I bet you that when we non-japanese speaking peeps play this game, we'll be like; "say whaaaat?"
Just a hunch, though...

Really great of you to make this thread, I've been dying for more RF4 info since it was announced.

What are the festivals like in this game? Also the festival prizes; hoping they'll be more akin to the console RFs rather than RF3.

Oh shoot, you're right! I'm sorry, I didn't even think of it. D: It's been so long since I've played RF3, I forgot that was even a secret. xD; I'm sorry if I spoiled anyone, but I edited it now. ;w;

Did you use knuckle to fight and what is the different with other weapons? :?:

I usually use the gloves/claws/knuckles. But sometimes I fight with a baseball bat (axe variant) because I find it funny, haha.

Unlocking new recipes for weapons and armor is slow going. I don't want to continue the story until I and my party members are better equipped ._.

Being well equipped is important. Is dual wielding the same as in RF3? Also, how are the knuckle weapons?

Haha I maxed out the hammer stat in RF3 by using the bats. I was so happy when I got my first wooden bat that I switched to hammers, and then the next (and last)hammer I used was the metal bat. I had maxed out the skill without ever using a real hammer. They're the best. I think I like them because I'm such a FLCL fan

How do you get recipes? Please tell me that recipe bread is gone :(

There's no Mist/Mana/Shara-style character in this game, right?

As far as I'm concerned, nope. Mist/Mana/Shara were plot heroines of their respective games. Only plot heroines in this game are Kohaku, Frey (if the player picks her) and Dolce.

Personality wise, I dont know any of the bachelorettes are similar to the three mentioned. Meg's the kind older sister type but based on what Fin has said, there are a lot of sides to her personality.

So I dont think we need to worry about the goofy Mist/Mana/Shara syndrome.

Hard mode sounds... buh  Well horray, at least now we have more of a reason to use magic! Magic is better in this game at least, right? Are there more spells?

OH THANK « Harvest Goddess ». Shara wasn't as bad as say Mana  but if I have to contend with one more "main heroine" like character like Mist I will cut things  Mist in RFF tried my last nerve...

Hi Fin, how are the magic weapons? They seemed pretty dull to me in the previous RF games since they were pretty weak compared to other weapons, at least I think so. I can't stand using those magic rods{RFF,ToD}, I prefer spell books!

Interesting. So there's alot more to this game than the others (going from what I heard. I only played ToD/Oceans and saw a walkthrough of 3 and Frontier, so I've been missing out on 1 and 2 other than the ancient dragons (I refer to them as such since in ToD lore,
Spoiler:
they are the ones that protected the land from the legendary golem
and as such are of a higher rank than that of the Fennith Island dragons.
Spoiler:
Though I'm still curious about the timeframe Aden and Sonia come from even though it's irrelevant to the plot since it's a couple centuries before all the RFs and before the rise of that one empire which if you've read a certain article then you'll be spoiled about the real enemy of RF4
) Don't mind that second spoiler if you want to avoid spoiling the plotline of ToD or RF4. Anyhow, game's looking good and I'm delighted to see all these upgrades and everything. Though I'm kinda disappointed that Seriza was only a picture. For a moment there when I heard she was being put in the game I actually thought they were going to include her, but now I can tell there were just trolling. Though I'm pretty sure alot of people were actually relieved to hear this fact as I'm pretty sure many people don't like her character unlike I who actually liked her design and her attitude in what part of the manga that I've seen. Alas, oh well.
