Yay! Could you tell us about him? What's he like? How was his dungeon? Was his boss form hard to beat?Nurse Fin wrote:Anyway, I have Leon now, finally~
By the way, I have a question about the monster characters; do they retain some of their monster characteristics when they go into battle? I swear I saw a pic of Kohaku with wings.
Oh, my. Arthur looks good. And his expression is :3Souja wrote:in the picture I saw, he didnt have the bookPen wrote:Hello Fin, have you seen Arthur's swimwear yet, and if so, does he still have his book? /all Pen cares about

Adorable.
Well, I JUST got Leon, so I can't say much about him yet. He seems... interesting. A little intimidating, but I like him so far. He lives at the inn/bath house, and seems to be entertained by Xiaopai's and Linghua's absent-mindedness. I haven't come across any "alternate" poses in his portraits yet, but like I said I just got him.
I think the third plot is shorter than the other two parts, more like an "extra" story, but it's just a guess on my part. I will be really sad when the story is all over because this is my favorite set of characters so far. It feels more like a fully-fledged RPG game with sim features, instead of the old RFs that felt like sims with minor RPG features, but doesn't seem to be as "plot-locked" as ToD.
Personally I'd recommend holding off completing the first part of the story like I did, so you can get to know Kohaku, Dylas, and Dolce better. I think it adds to the impact of the story ;-;
Speaking of Dolce, I have warmed up to her a lot. She's interesting and sarcastic, a little dark, but has a sentimental side. She actually reminds me a lot of Lydia from Beetlejuice >.>
Just so you know, Kohaku/Dylas/Dolce/Leon CANNOT return to their monster forms (there's a specific instance where you can ask Dylas if he'll go back to pony form and he'll blow up at you if you do xD;;). But they retain some of the unique skills they had as boss monsters, ie. Kohaku can inflict status effects, Dylas and his unicorn beams (hehehe), As far as whether they're really human or half-monster or what, I'm... not totally sure. >_>; Well, whatever it is, at the end of the day they can't change back willingly.
Leon's boss form (Sarcophagus) was not hard for me personally (of course I was lv75 which could have something to do with it), but he constantly teleports around the screen so he can be hard to hit.
I think for the second half of the story I'm going to set the difficulty to Hard Mode.

Oh « Harvest Goddess », no. Please compare him to anybody except Pia.Daisuke Tsubasa wrote:So basically...
Rinfa = Shino
Xiao = Sakuya
Pia = Leon
It'd be fun to see or hear more about his interactions with the Xiaoling Inn family.

So, by "obtaining/rescuing/recruiting/whatever" Leon, you officially completed the first storyline? Gah. I kind of wanted to do as little plot involvement as possible, but still be able to marry the monster candidates (and then continue along with the plot).

I wasn't comparing him or Xiao/Rinfa to the Miyako Inn trio personality wise. I was comparing their roles, not personalities.Blue Rose wrote:Oh « Harvest Goddess », no. Please compare him to anybody except Pia.Daisuke Tsubasa wrote:So basically...

hahaha. That'd be funny, but no. Leon's the most put together of the three, while Pia was... well. Do mermaids also inherit fish brains?
You can't woo/marry Doug until you finish the first storyline either.
But hey, at least the story isn't over once you get Leon.

Thanks for the info about Leon! I'm debating on whether or not to go for him first still when I get the game tomorrow..I may take your advice and just go for Dylas first, then Leon in my second file after I know the full story. Choices, choices..Nurse Fin wrote:

Teasing people and being ditzy/stupid are two different things.PiplupPeanut wrote:So Leon is "put together," huh? From what you have seen of him, does he actually like to tease people like his pre-game info said, or was that a mistranslation on UNoT's part?
Also, since you didn't answer my question before, I'll ask again: Are there rival couples in this game?
You can tease people and be mature at the same time.
Look at Jade from Tales of Abyss.
