Edit: Anyway, even though Kohaku, Dylas, Dolce, and Leon can't change back into their monster forms, I think they are half monster. When she's happy, sometimes Kohaku's butterfly wings come out, besides, she also has antennas on her head. Dylas and Leon both have tails and Leon has fox ears. I'm not sure about Dolce, she may just use her magic along with Pico's magic (if both have any) to form her boss.
Well, I can't say anything without spoiling the plot but it's possible that the monster thing isn't 100% irreversible, or the case could be a little different with each character.I didn't really get all of Dylas' backstory until the proposal event. Micah and *ahem* were half monster yet they could change form, whereas the 4 in this game cannot.
Dylas: "I guess I'll be sleeping here from now on."
Frey: "Uh huh."
Dylas: "Good, 'cause my room is too small for the both of us.. and the walls at the restaurant are pretty thin."
Lmao oh rune factory and your under-the-radar innuendoes
OH GOOD LORD That is just too much- I can't- that is just so amazing. It better be in the NA version!
Oh my! That is fantastic xD Can't wait to see some of the innuendos some of the other bachelor's have!
Fin - Off-topic question, but have you have had an "import delay" while ordering from PlayAsia before? My Japanese 3DS and RF4 were supposed to be here today, but it looks like it's stuck in customs ._. I wonder how long it takes..
Nurse Fin wrote:The proposal event took about a week to complete. But I kinda knew what was coming when he started checking out Frey's hands. Anyway, the proposal scene itself managed to be sweet, funny and sad all at the same time. It was a pretty long event actually. Oh, and there's no wedding animation, but there was a proposal one. The wedding itself reminded me of RF3 where you talk to everyone in town; characters close to Dylas like Porco and Meg had special messages.
Wait, they actually animate the proposals, not just a CG?!? Does it differ if it's a reverse proposal vs. a regular proposal?
Wow, I can't believe the writers were daring enough to put that 'message' in this game. Dylas is quite funny in his tsundere glory, I cant imagine him saying that with a straight face. This makes me wonder what Vishnal would say since he's the most hysterical one. I'm quite happy there's such few marriage requirements although still surprised like everyone else.
You guys are naughty, ~obviously~ he was talking about sparing Frey from Porco's snoring
Also you can go to bed together now, if the timing is right. Cute. And the food he gives me is some of the best stuff, I guess that's what's expected from one of the best cooks in town. Though I wonder if it's any different for other characters-- I know Vishnal cannot cook to save his life (poor, poor Vishy)...
Another feature is the ability to change nicknames whenever you want in the trophy room. So if you get tired of calling him My Little Pony (おうまさん "Mr. Horse" is actually an option lolwtf) you can switch it back to normal.
Stats comparison/progress: (spoiler'd to save space)
Spoiler:
(top to bottom) Attack / Defense / Mag. Atk / Mag. Def / Strength / Vitality / Knowledge
I think I need to make better armor for Frey

It's because of the battery in the 3DS, same thing happened to me. It should be released from customs in a few days.

Any other funny lines you can remember? (from any of the characters)
There are too many of them, it's hard to think of something specifically. But Porco's "Kya <3" gets me every time

I think I used Fireball on some of the enemies in that dungeon

Well, I don't even know if there are "regular" proposals or not (for Frey). Dylas' reverse proposal would be hard to beat because it was such a big event, and supposedly clearing all the character's events is a requirement for marriage... hmm
The animation's like a short blip like the intro animations.
Animation clips for proposals? Pfft. That sounds awesome. Do they actually say something in the proposal clips, or is it just music like in the intro clips?
Actually, Nurse Finn, the ability to go to bed at the same time and changing nicknames in the trophy room was in RF3 too. =3 Still glad to hear those features return.
Aside from the proposal/intro clips, are there any other anime scenes? Of course, if it's spoilerish a simple yes or no would do.
Oh Mai Gawsh.
I can't wait anymore!!!! *jumps into the sea and starts swimming for Japan.

Anyways, I'm really surpressing squeals of happiness as I speak. Nurse Fin, I love ya. Nuff said.
Dylas...dear goodness, I'm going to flipping SWIM there and learn Japanese so I can play this game.
He's a unibeam-shooting waiter who says/does the darndiest things. Me. Want. To. Play!
Eh? Lost memories, huh? Augh! This is at the TOP of my WANT WANT WANT list...
Any Rune Factories to suggest for me in the meantime? ;3

I would recommend to go in chronological order from 1 to 3 (unless you include the console games too). Just because the gameplay is much more fluid each game, and to play the previous ones is a bit...hard to adjust when you were spoiled so much before.
But, if you don't have the luxury to get all three or can't find them in chronological order. RF2 is probably the better game for long term play, while RF3 has a very fast plot, but is more romance-heavy. As for the characters themselves...RF2 has a more laid back/normal cast while RF3 is filled with a bunch of wild/extreme characters. So, whatever floats your boat.

I was never able to get that when I played RF3 ;-;
But for your question, I don't know. I haven't finished the game yet. There might be, or there might not. I haven't encountered any besides the OP, intros, and the proposal scene.
