Personality wise I'm loving Dolce (with _and_ without Pico), I like how she mixes her bashfulness with the occasional sharp tongue.
Fin plays RF4 (possible spoilers?)

I really like all of the candidates this time around...
Dolce - I love her design and her personality, her dynamic interaction with Pico and I get kicks out of watching her reactions. Her "...Idiot! Idiot!! Idiot!!" always has me laughing.
Margaret - She's a really great balance of eccentric, normal and sincere. She has a lovely personality, I love watching her interactions with Dylas and Porco. That and I'm a sucker for her design. Personally, I think she has the best design out of the elf bachelorettes.
Forte - I just like how her serious knightly personality cross references with her softer, sisterly side, namely towards Kiel. Especially in her last main sub event.
Chrolica - the girl people thought would be a Karina/Sierra clone. Far from it. She's a sleepy ditz but she's hard working in all reality, she takes pride in what she does and she really tries hard to maintain the strings that keep their relationship strong, as shown in her marriage flag sub event.
Xiaopai - I was a bit nervous at first, I thought she'd be another Sakuya with a hot Eastern mom but so far, she's shown a lot to distinguish herself from her mother, as close as they are. She's hard working, there are times where she doubts herself considering even in the game, she's overshadowed by her mother due to the amount of fans she has, but I really loved how well she interacted with her father in her last sub event and her reverse proposal pretty much shows how strong hearted she's grown because of Lest.
Kohaku - I have yet to unlock her marriage flag sub event but I find her adorable...still...it feels a bit weird having Lest form a relationship with her, considering she's the most childish out of the bachelorettes (and I like Illuminator better but that's not the point)...I need to unlock her last sub event before I can say anything else...

I think I'll have to actually pay attention to the dialogues the next time around to form a complete opinion like yours. I've always gone through most games like this, rushing first, then gameplay mastering and completion, then if the story seems worthwhile to digest, I take my time re-reading and re-experiencing it.
I just got Arthur, Dylas and Leon to 10FP and finished that "have everyone at 10FP" quest. Turns out it STILL isn't the last one.

There are a few changes to the requests mechanism in RF4:
1. There is only one request board this time. (down from three in RF3)
2. You may undertake no more than three requests from the board per day. You are allowed to cancel requests and retake them again immediately but that still deducts your quests per day counter.
3. Townspeople will now give you their own requests when talking with them. You receive this randomly. You may undertake as many personal requests as you want on top of the board's requests.
4. Generic requests are back and are now classified more neatly into 4 types: ship produce, ship fish, item procurement and delivery, and monster hunting. These are also listed in the request board and count towards the 3-per-day board limit.
The main scenario is now also completely independent from the request board, but you will still want to complete the requests in order to advance in almost anything else in the game. (e.g. access to new seed types, new recipes, new orders, etc)

I wish it was more like in HM tale of two towns, where you can do multiple requests and are not punished for canceling. It seems like this way is better than RF3 though! Thanks for the info!ZhangKhaiEn wrote:There are a few changes to the requests mechanism in RF4:

I have never played Rune Factory 3 before, but this kind of reminds me of the request board in Rune Factory 2 mixed with a bit of Animal Crossing, where you can get requests by talking to the townsfolk...ZhangKhaiEn wrote:There are a few changes to the requests mechanism in RF4:

There are multiple peddlers in the form of NPC merchants who can come to town under a Prince Point Order.runefactor wrote:Is there a peddler in Rune Factory 4?
These NPC merchants include :: fisherman merchants, ore merchants and one of them is a peddler NPC who lives in a once vacant house that sells furniture such as chairs, statues, ect.
Barrett and Raven are also peddlers in a sense. Barrett can upgrade weapons provided that the MC provides him with the right ores or materials. Raven sells boss drops.
Arthur runs an imports shop in Porcoline's mansion, where the inventory changes daily. His wares usually include gold seeds or skill seals if you're lucky.

Eeeeeee!!! THANK YOUTewi wrote:Here you go, enjoy!rachellion wrote:From that site can you translate this one too please?
Spoiler:This is a little off-topic, so I've created a new one for translations like this if anyone else has any requests.Spoiler:
@ZhangKhaiEn: Thanks for explaining the request system. It sounds really interesting and less annoying than previous games
Yeaaaa this is why I was completely ._. toward Kohaku. Kohaku's adorable and I think if she wasn't so childish I'd consider her, but uh... ^^;;; I'll pass.Daisuke Tsubasa wrote:Kohaku - I have yet to unlock her marriage flag sub event but I find her adorable...still...it feels a bit weird having Lest form a relationship with her, considering she's the most childish out of the bachelorettes (and I like Illuminator better but that's not the point)...I need to unlock her last sub event before I can say anything else...
