I know that October 23rd is being used as a street date and for preorders and whatnot...but I found something rather interesting (at least in my opinion)

It's in the comments and is #34. I just wanted to know what others think about this :)

While that date is in the 4th quarter it's most likely just a fan's speculation. I'm just waiting until Natsume says something :P

That fan probably saw the placeholder dates on various E3 sites and thought that was the date, but really, that date is just a placeholder.

December 30th? I am not sure I can think of a worse date to release. After christmas when everyone is burnt out and gifts are one of the last things on peoples minds? Perhaps they simply put that date as meaning "SOME TIME THIS YEAR". Afterall, when you deal with annoying fans it is far easier to bring the date forwards than to push it back further. (not that I am calling anyone on this website an annoying fan. I am sure you are all paragons of patience)

I don't know-- aren't kids usually buying toys with Christmas money the week or so after Christmas? It makes sense to me.

A few kids might be, but it is the slowest time of the year, retail-wise. Ever wondered why games are rushed out to make the christmas time sales boom? Well, wonder no-more; its because the pre-christmas time is one of the largest sales period in the year and followed by the slowest, hence the need to rush.

Sad to say, that date is the most common/standard to put when you already know that you will push the date back even further..they just want the fans to get excited.
It's basically the same thing as saying " Next Year."

Gosh darn it, this had better not be the freaking release date.

I have to constantly hop between Canada and The United states around that time so I can't happily pre-order it anywhere in hope of getting it. It would end up on either side of the boarder and me on the opposite side wherever its at.

Arrrgh.

December 30th just means it is to be released this year (hopefully)

That's the date every magazine gave for it at E3 and Natsume has already it's not real. NO DATE IS REAL.

Good. Because December 30 is WAY late in the year. It's crazy. I wish we actually knew the real English release date though.

Well, I'm going to preorder it and hope that October 23rd is the day. If not, oh well.

I never questioned the logic behind it nor did I try to imply that after Christmas there was going to be a huge sales rush. I merely figured kids would be interested in buying things they wanted but didn't get for Christmas. /shrug

Well Natsume posted this in the comments on their fb this morning
It's not delayed. We've never given a date outside of 2012. We can't control what GameStop does, but we've reiterated here over and over no date online (including October 23 and December 30) is true, because it does not come from us!
So there you have it. Just keep on waiting patiently :P

Every day that goes by we grow closer and closer to finding the day it will come. and from there as the days go by we will draw nearer to the day we grasp it.
