Probably not. I'm going to see some gameplay before I buy it. I didn't really like ToTT all that much, and I preordered that (the plush is adorable, though).

Theres already game play on youtube. And Harvest moon :a new beginning is going to be way better then ToTT so u can buy it day one with out worrying it going to suck. c:

I hope it's better than ToTT. I was addicted to that game until year 2 when I realized how tedious it was and haven't played it since. I wonder if I still have it... could probably trade it in...

Ah, do you live in a smaller town/area? In most urban areas, including my own, you don't normally have to worry about finding HM games when they first come out. There are usually tons of copies available. I've heard the same from most other people on the forum.
Unless you live in a town with like... one game store, then you should be fine. =)
But, I understand how you feel. I pre-ordered a few games in the past, even though I knew there would be plenty of copies.

Personally, I'm pre-ordering from Gamestop so I can use it as a reason to convince someone to take me to a Gamestop on that EXACT day so I can get my game. I don't own a car... Gas prices are too dang high.
That, and I want the yak. =)

I have never pre-ordered anything before because I like to wait for reviews and gameplay and such, but I'm thinking about pre-ordering ANB. One, it's a DS game (I've never had a DS before, used to paying like $60-$70 for games) so it'll be cheaper, and two, I don't think I can not like this game so why not? I have the dog plushie (I didn't even pre-order, the guy just gave me one anyways for some reason), so the yak will be a nice bonus as well.

Nope! 3DS. You'll need to have a 3DS console to play the game.
Just making sure you know. Some people have asked whether its DS compatible before, so I was just making sure. =)

Oh sorry, that's what I meant, I do have a 3DS. Thanks though, aha. And yeah, everyone I know with a DS is moaning about new 3DS games that they can't play (my friend is rabid for the new Luigi's Mansion coming out). But I'm assuming the 3DS titles coming out are around the same price as DS games (maybe like $10 more or something, but nothing too major).

I'm looking forward to several of the 3DS games myself... ANB, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and most recently, Rune Factory 4... Mainly because of Vishnal. =)
I'm also looking for to the new Pokemon game, but that's for the DS. I'll play it on my 3DS anyways.

Oh, I was going to post a topic about this but thought it's so closely related I might as well post it here and I'm sure someone will know the answer. When can we actually preorder the game? I went on the EB Games website and didnt see it anywhere so it made me wonder if I can preorder it yet (even though I know I'd go in store to do so, just surprised because lots of unreleased games are on the site) or only after the release date is known.

I am so excited for RF4! I only just got the 1st RF and am absolutely addicted to it. I need to get through the others in the series before RF4 is released, but that's good since I'll be occupied.

You should have been able to pre-order it already. I've had mine on pre-order at Gamestop since the beginning of July.

I selected other because I'm pre-ordering for more than one reason. 1) Special gift. I loves those~ 83
2) It's Harvest Moon! Since I heard about this version, I've been planning on getting it~ <3
3) I'll have a guaranteed copy! 8D Not that it sells out fast here. = u=;

Despite my disappointment with the child system, I'm still pretty stoked about this game~~~
