Ushi No Tane Forum

My idea of the perfect Harvest Moon game would have you build everything from the ground up like in IoH, have 9 seeds in each bag, and a plot that actually has something to do with farming. As for marriage candidates, I don't really care, so long as it has Witch Princess, Luna, Skye, and the ability to marry up to three people at a time, regardless of gender.

Pre-ANB would be:

Bachelorettes:
Leia- DS
Nami- DS

Otherwise I'd replace Wizard and Shea with Allen and Neil for bachelors and Leia and Luna with Tina and Yuri for bachelorettes.

Well some games went into a lot more character depth than others, so for this I'll pretend some of the more bland characters aren't that way (it's not their fault which game they were created for).

I just realized most of the bachelorettes I said are from DS haha. I don't really have any specific game preferences for the girls.

And someone mentioned Marvelous making a game with all previous characters. I feel like that wouldn't work because they'd probably take all/mostly favorites, and not everyone likes them (like I personally do not like Vaughn and yet I know so many people love him). So potentially they could bring back all of your favorites, or they could bring back one of them and a bunch of characters one personally didn't care for. They probably wouldn't ever do it without bringing back a big chunk of the cast, like AP after ToT and SI after IoH.

I'll change that. I like all the pairings I made...
Evelyn and Julius could wear their amazingly wacky and wonderful outfits together, Elliot and Maria would just be perfect in my mind, weak separate but together powerful, Neil and Jamie is... do I even have to explain the epicness? And Lynette and Skye both have experience as the people who were known as "the bad guys", but together they can be themselves!

... Do you know how hard it would be for me to marry in this game?

I'm not too fussed about marriageable characters, so long as there's a nice variety.

My perfect game would be, aging characters, child genetics (even if it comes from the spouse side), customisable avatar, rivals, town and farm customisation, costumes and random visiting NPC's from other previous games.

Animals: Marble cows, ducks, Llamas, alpaca, yaks as well as the usual.
Crops: More fruit, I want raspberries, plums, pears. Vegetables, I'd like to grow leeks and spring onions.

Powers: Teleport ability was cool I'd like that back. Time speed up, having an ability to speed up time if you're waiting for something.

Events: I love all heart events and village events, I'd want as many as possible. So I can learn each character's story.

Harvest Sprites: I want them to work on my farm, I remember one game for the PS1 was like this. I could pay the sprites to work for me if I had large crops and animals to look after. It was a nice feature.

Random: I want Murray to come back! I want to help him move back home, I always feel sad about that in AWL. I had so much money but I couldn't help him go home.

Wait... What? You want polygamy in Harvest Moon?

^I was half-kidding when I said that, but I wouldn't mind it. I have no problem with polygamy if everyone involved is above the age of consent and approves of the arrangement. Plus, it would save me the trouble of having to decide between the three I listed.

But my idea for a perfect Harvest Moon game was that you can marry, divorce and re-marry as many times you want. And I really liked that in A New Beginning you can date and re-date you know?
