Tree Help. Please?!?

Okay, so I have just raised Fruit Tree island. So I went to Chen's shop and bought some tree seeds, but when I try to plant them it tells me that it is usless standing where I am, that I have to stand in the middle of the tilled area but I am! So where exactly am I supposed to stand? I am in winter if that makes a difference.

Trees do not grow in winter. They are dormant in winter so I don't think you can plant them then either.

Okay. I planted them in Spring and now they are growing.

I just barely hit spring and I'm going to try planting my first trees as well. Glad you were able to get it to work.

I highly recommend you keep track of how many sun and water points each tree receives. I know it's annoying, but it's worst to see a stump where a tree should be just because you over/under watered it. I only managed to fully grow my apple trees at the third try

And don't forget to build a fence around it: just put a lumber, stone material or golden lumber (of course this one's the best) on the ground to prevent the tree from dying randomly. Only golden lumber prevents is completely, though.
