Do you have to pet your animals in this one?

Because I really hated doing that.

Yes and no. There's no Touch Screen glove, so you don't have to play the minigame every day, but every once in a while they'll get a little hand above their heads, so if you talk to them or try to pick them up (depending on the animal), you'll have to pet them. It doesn't happen that often, though, unless you have a lot of animals.

And it is a lot easier than the mini-game in DS. You can easily get max points every time. When their eyes are upside-down half circles like a smile and their cheeks are pink you know that you are almost done. The cows are the hardest. Everyone else is super easy.
