I can only speak from experience unfortunately; I don't have any official documentation. But I walked a little over 1200km over the course of 36 days and at the end of every day I'd sit down and play my 3DS to unwind a bit. For me there was a maximum of 10 coins obtained from walking per day and a maximum of 10 Streetpass Mii's that I could accept at a single time.Lord_Banks wrote:I got more than 10 Playcoins a day when i walked during my vacation, so i don't know what you guys are talking about...
If you got more than 10 coins then I am interested to know what you did differently. Did you by any chance use some coins then earn some new ones? Did you earn them another way (ie. through some sort of hotspot location or somehting?) Or maybe your version, american I think you said in another thread, doesn't have an upper limit. As I said, I am using the Japanese 3DS so there could be something different between versions.

I didnt do anything special no, but yes I did use an American 3DS... Still they shouldn't be different, really, they are the same product, just from different places.Blxz wrote:I can only speak from experience unfortunately; I don't have any official documentation. Anyway, I got 19 in one day, and then I spent them... So I don't know, I could be wrong, and had 9 previous to walking that day, but I don't think so...
EDIT: FantasyGamer, I dont recommend that, because it might screw up your games that run on timers, like Pokemon or Animal Crossing, so I don't think ou should do that, and you should probably set back the dates! (If you've changed them.)

I have a American 3DS as well. You can't get over 10 play coins in a day. I walk at least 2 miles each day (at least 3000 steps), and I only get 10 coins per day.Lord_Banks wrote:I didnt do anything special no, but yes I did use an American 3DS... On the topic of changing the clock...

Using Play Coins to unlock outfits? That would be far easier than trying to convince my Alpacas to re-grow their wool faster than normal so I can get outfits from the Oracle. xDKeera wrote:*clears throat*
Okaaaay, getting back on the topic of ANB, I think it would be cool if you could use play coins to unlock things like outfits, or maybe even different animals~
Also, I like how Play Coins are based on a pedometer. It encourages lazy gamers like me to actually get up and do stuff. Sense of in-game accomplishment + physical activity = happy people in hospitals who won't have to lug my obese butt onto a gurney. (Actually, I'm underweight, but still... You get the idea.)
