This might be a stupid question, but how many files are there in A new beginning? I've heard there are 2, but others say there is only 1.

There are two save slots. You can save on each slot freely.

That sounds really vague... What I mean is that you don't have to start a whole new file in order to use the other slot, like some previous games.

Hooray! I always hated it when the games lock the save files... =( That'll make it so much easier to marry people and collect dialogue!
This makes me so happy. =D

Can you save whenever you want? Or do you only have the option at night? (I really hate when they do that...)

That's kind of scary. I like the freedom, but I'm always afraid I will overwrite the game, so I tend to only make one save instead of taking advantage of both files.

You'll be able to save whenever you want to. I'm so glad to see this feature returning. :)

Thank « Harvest Goddess »! Next step: make a console game with this feature.

To save in Animal Parade, you had to go home to access your diary. I'm pretty sure that in ANB you can access your diary and save whenever and wherever you want to, more like in DS/DSC.

Thank goodness!
And I'm also happy that you don't have to wait 'til you go to sleep to save.

I hate not being able to save at anytime, anywhere in ToTT, because, it just so annoying waiting to finish ALL your chores before you go to sleep! >:(

So glad the same save system as HMDS/Cute is coming back!

I do like that we can save anywhere, even though I have such a habit of just saving at the end of the day. I usually finish a day before saving so I don't forget what I already did that day and whatnot.
Even though I'll probably just save in the morning or night, the fact that the feature is there is nice. =D
