I think they could put patches on it since the 3ds can connect to the internet.
But even if they took their sweet time on this game, there would still be bad translations on parts, parts that make no sense, and maybe even a sentence or 2 still in Japanese.
Honestly to me, no matter how much time they spend translating the game there are always going to have messed up parts.
So to me, it doesn't matter how much time they spend on it, cause I almost always run into badly translated or non-translated parts.
I actually hope they prove me wrong with this one though.

I think they will prove us wrong, but i hpe they don't take thier sweet time. Either way, they are going to try to get it out for this year, because they promised to try, and have said on FB that they hope to have it out for 2012, so i think it will be out for this year. I would want it if it came out next year, but i wouldn't be happy...
@Ducki- How many games has there been untranslated text in?

In Harvest Moon DS Cute there was some Japanese text. That's my only game.

I know of many others, but I don't have them.

Also in More Friends of Mineral Town, sometimes when you talk to the dude who comes to pick up your stuff while he's still on your farm he'll say something that shows up in Japanese.

You really can't expect too much with Natsume ^^'

You actually could EXPECT much, it just won't happen. Or maybe it would...

They've been progressing, it's just that we're so used to the delays, bugs, untranslated dialouge in their past that we're very wary of them.

In Friends of Mineral Town, if you talk to Carter the day before the grape harvest event he speaks in German. Why would there be German language text in an English port of a Japanese game.

The German is weird, and i've had
Zack speak in Japanese,
BUT there shouldn't be those kinds of things, Natsume should work to get rid of all that stuff. That aside... It's fine for me if there are a few glitches, because they can be helpful, or funny, and thankfully, nothing important has really been wrong like that, except with the 3DS version of ToTT for America.
stpid Natsume!

This may have been mentioned, but in DS Cute, if you ignore Kai for 10 days if you married him he says "Man, I feel like « Puppy Doodoo »

Well that
^ is for the older crowd, but bad for the kiddies, though, unfourtunately, in a few years kids could start to use language like that...

I would be really surprised if Natsume decided to leave all the swears that Neil and Allen say. I think it would be a nice thing to throw in to those who have been into the series for a long time since, well, we're all older than we were a long time ago. I feel old saying that now, and I'm only 20.

Kids my age (14) and possibly younger say worse things from what I've seen. I shouldn't curse, but I try to limit it unless I am really angry xP
So, I wouldn't necessarily mind the cursing. I hear it a lot anyways.
But you're right. Younger kids play HMs, so they probably won't put it in.

And if they did put it in, then it should be for something, like the game reads the birthday from the 3DS, and if you are above 13, then swears are left in, and under, then swears are watered down. Though it would be really weird to see how that worked

it looks like we don't need nintendo power for the official release date for ANB. Natsume already said it~ οωο
