I'm pretty sure only gamestop has the pre-order yak plushie, and if you pre-order it from gamestop, you should receive the plushie weather you pick it up at the store itself or have it shipped to you. I've never actually pre-ordered any games myself I'm only going by my friends experiences for pre-ordering so you might want that confirmed by someone who has.
Natsume: You can get a FREE Plush Yak by pre-ordering Harvest Moon: A New Beginning from participating retailers, such as GameStop (GameStop.com), Amazon.com, and Walmart.com. Be sure to double check before pre-ordering that they are offering the Free Plush Yak. In addition, you can also pre-order at Natsume.com starting on September 24th, 2012. The retail price is $39.99. Retailers will not ship outside North America.
Forget what I said then.=P Thank you for correcting me DracoShadow. :)

Or at least have them find a random item on their way to and from work.
Like if you couldn't find a certain material and they ended up finding it.

I thought I heard somewhere that they actually DO help out with things.
I could be wrong though, but I do believe I have heard it somewhere...

hm...finding stuff on the way home would be easier, considering that we are the only people buying things...they'd just be giving us our money back!

The only thing I know the spouses can "help" with is cooking. At the end of each day, either you or your spouse (your choice) will cook dinner. Then, you will enjoy it with each other! =) And, the dialogue apparently changes after you have a child. After a child, the entire family will eat together.
Other than that, I don't know if they help with anything else.

What about the marriage candidates who don't have a job? Celka? ;)
Although, from what I've seen on the wiki, he says something along the lines of you worrying about the farm work, while he'll worry about the house, as that's what he did for Amir... =)

Celka has a job though right? Isn't he Amir's butler? I'm sure he gets paid for that so it's a job.

Or does he quit if you marry him? That's a little sad...

I honestly don't know if he gets paid. He might not, considering he lives alongside Amir as his butler. But really, I don't know.

I know he moves in with you, which might make it difficult for him to be with Amir. I assume he would quit, but again, I'm guessing.

I just know what the dialogue said, according to a free online translator, which may or may not be correct. ^^"
