Amir

I've read that Amir's name is Amir, but also as Schmidt... (I'm pretty sure that's how you spell it..) I checked the Natsume game page to see the picture of him, but it seems that they took it out. So, is his name Amir? Or Schmidt? (I really hope it's not Schmidt... I don't like that name. .-.)

Schmidt is his Japanese name. Amir is his localized name.

Yeah, he doesn't look german, so I don't think Schmidt would fit him at all.

My last name is Schmidt.

His name in Grand Bazaar was Amir (localized version) so it wouldn't make much sense for him to get a random name change.

To me, Schmidt makes no sense for Amir's character. Amir is more culturally appropriate for him, and it just...sounds better. It suits him well, whereas Schmidt just doesn't belong with his personality/cultue/everything. XD

Yeah I'm going to guess Amir is of Indian descent and Schmidt sounds German so I don't get that logic

When I here Schmidt, I think of people from Northern European decent. I don't think Amir is from there.

I believe he's from India or a place with similar cultures isn't his full name Amir Ranjit Raj Singh? That's a pretty Indian sounding name
