Yeah, I will agree with y'all though. 1,000,000G is a bit much for a single house upgrade >.>
I've never actually managed to upgrade it in ToTT ^^;

I haven't completed it in either of mine ^^;
In my first file, I rushed to marry Cam, then quit shortly after I married him.
In my second file, I'm taking things much more slowly and focusing on expansions. I'm only talking to everybody once a day and not giving gifts at all (other than the occasional horse treat that I get from a request. Those go to Kana xD). I'm think I'm nearing the end of Spring Year 2, and the third tunnel request should be coming soon~

I like doing expansions. But not the house ones, they're expensive. xD

I love having house expansions, it makes me feel like i am actually getting somewhere in the game- like a mile stone- when have enough money to upgrade my house. i get all smilie when my house changes in some way- even if small. what i don't like is having to collect the lumber and material stone...

Honestly, I would much rather have expensive expansions than ones that you have to wait a month for. Even if they're dirt cheap, I just feel accomplished when I get an expansion done, and when you can only do it once a month like in ToTT, it just takes way too long x.x
See if they were expensive, you could work your way to it, and expand whenever you want to. Sure it may take the same amount of time, but you won't be idly twiddling your thumbs waiting for the rest of the month to end.
