I know that when you want to build a new house, you go get blueprints whenever you'd like. But what if you want to upgrade your house/farm/tools? Is it the same one-upgrade-a-month system from TToT, or the old whenever-you'd-like-as-long-as-you-can-afford-it method?
Same thing as the houses; it's done by following blueprints. Iroha has the tool upgrade plans. Milker shed, Greenhouse, Mushroom Logs, etc. are all blueprints.
Do they take time to complete after you've gathered everything? Like turn in the stuff and it takes a few days? And the shop keepers do them, or do you do them yourself? o: And if it's the shop keepers, do they close shop after you ask? O: So curious ._.;

How so? I love having my own workshop, and never having to rely on having a blacksmith open to upgrade a tool, or get more fish traps, etc. It is quite nice! Or did you mean getting the materials? I still found IoH and SI MUCH harder than this game.
