I have to rearrange my original design so I can have a car park. I was sort of wanting a garden in front instead. Now I have the lion dog car I can't get rid of it. It always respawns in front of my house. This is just nit picking but maybe something people who like to arrange stuff in a certain way should consider before building the cars.
And it made me wonder: what happens when you build things in this game? Are you stuck having to place them somewhere? (You built it, so you're stuck looking at it forever, a la the ride cars!) Or can you stash them somewhere if you decide you don't need them anymore? Or can you break them down to recover (some of) the materials used to build them in the first place, if you really can't stand having these items around anymore?
Just wondering. I don't see a lot of information available for construction/storage, yet, so I'm very eager to find out!
The only thing that seems immovable are the cars so far. Everything else like the houses and buildings you make can be moved and placed. Though there are some limits like village houses must be placed in the village not the farm. Fields with crops already on it cannot be moved to the next area unless you destroy the crops and just move the field. Farm buildings can only be placed on Farmland and if they are filled with animals you cannot store it or move to the next farm area. You have to make another stable and move your animals first.
Wherever I leave the car it always respawns in front of the house after a night's sleep. If there is a way to move it or store it I'd love to know.
The inside of the house is also immovable, but I wouldn't want to change any of that around. It's just the car being in front of my house that I personally find annoying.
Oh my. More than one farm area? This game is intense!
Just to be clear, though: there IS a storage option? Like, if you build a fence set, and then later find a cooler one and want to replace it, you can do so and not have to deal with placing the old fence set somewhere else?
I know it sounds weird, but I'm wondering more about the cosmetic items than the functional ones. I figure that since all of the building exterior designs (and the ugly green curtains on the inside of your farm house!) are set, I'm going to be stuck looking at those no matter what
All fences are movable apart from the boundaries around the edges of areas. So you can expand or shrink your animal fenced off area as you like. Pick up items and store them, they have a separate storage space. You can even sell the ones you don't like any more. You can easily make new fences and replace the old ones.
The other farm areas unlock as you proceed through the game but the starting area is big enough and the only issue is chopping down the trees. Which once you have the axe and upgrade is easy enough.
The blueprint item storage is weird it has a set limit but each item has a different number. So I can't tell you off hand how much one item will take but there's plenty of space for a lot of my stuff but then I don't decorate as much as I'd like.
