I'm definitely looking forward to the new characters, customization, and new gameplay! I'm kind of tired of the old handheld HM games so I can't wait for this one.

My goal is to meet everyone that's around and try to get used to the layout of the place. The graphics are all right, different, but I don't mind change.

Well, let's see.

(Mostly) totally new villagers who have been fleshed out and (hopefully) have more interesting personalities than the blah, blah, blah villagers of ToTT? (I love ToTT by the way, but most of those villagers make me want to scream and pull my hair.) I'd like that. From what I can understand of the Japanese (and those who have played it), most of the villagers are pretty cool/unique. I hope it doesn't get lost in translation.

System that is a combo of traditional Harvest Moon game play, with some NEW! elements that remind me of Animal Crossing and MySims/MySims Kingdom? I love all those games. SOLD.

Graphics I am not too sure about. But seeing the game in motion on YouTube videos makes it seem like they won't be a problem for me. Yeah, they're weirdly cute and very stylistically different, but I think the game play matters more than the graphics. (Gosh, I'm playing Dragon Quest VII right now, probably has the worst graphics ever but I PERSEVERE!)

What I'm hoping for is a mostly glitch free game that doesn't have any very unpleasant surprises like ToTT did. Somehow every Japanese playing review of ToTT I ever ran across did not mention the fact of the terrible shop times/constant closures in ToTT. It was only until I was playing it that I figured it out. It made me very, very sad. I think if I would have been warned ahead of time, maybe I would have been more prepared for it.

As far as my first goals... pretty much figure out the most efficient way of doing things. I like to play the new games for about a week of in-game time and then maybe restart if I feel like I botched having a good start. Usually my goal is to have some livestock and get cooking ASAP, especially important in a game where you need it for Stamina/Health recovery.

I am NOT looking forward to the amount of money I have to lay down to get a 3DS (XL) but I was planning on getting one eventually, so I guess that's kind of a moot point.

Also: The fact they used the word "ostentatious"? Yes, please.

I can't wait for it to be released. :lala: The thing I'm looking forward to is all the characters, and how they have much more depth to them, like others have already said. Also, I for one actually like the cows and the horse, I think their cute, crazy blonde hair and all! :D Lol.

I'm just excited because it's a new HM game. There are things that I like and dislike in this game but I don't really care, I have to try it just because it's HM. ;P It seems like a really great addition to the series from what I've seen though. I'm probably most excited about new characters, that's usually my favourite aspect of HM games.

I'm excited for just about everything in this game; especially the farming, building houses and customizing my character ^^

Not too excited about the Mine tho D:

I find the graphics to be quite awesome this time for a game like this :D

When i buy it, i'm going to farm alot first before i buy anything nwn; I'm just wondering on when is a good time to starting courting someone on there as i sometimes rush through that, but this time; i want to take my time :3

I think that the thing I'm most excited for is the ability to choose from sooo many outfits to pick the one which compliments your idea for the MC most. Not to mention customization of face and hairstyle! Also it's a new generation with brand new graphics, I really want to see it!

I'm completely not excited for the ability to crossdress. Useless for me. Boys are boys and girls are girls. To me it's simple. But it's just mine opinion.

I don't have the game yet, so the impressions part has to wait :)

But waiting for the game, I really hate the fact, that you can customize the town. Farm is fine - it's YOUR farm after all, do as you please with it, but... town? I loved exploring the ones that were already made, even if I were getting lost in them at first. In ANB I'll put the houses of people I want to visit often far from my farm, so I don't get lazy and skip on visiting other villagers, whose houses I'll arrange just 'behind my fence'.
Also - AMIR. There is nothing I like about him... His reappearance speaks POLIGAMY to me. It's surprising, because I didn't feel that way about other 'comeback' bachelors/ettes...

This time, I'm going to beat the main storyline first, become friends with everyone and then choose that one and only (I thought I'd go for Neil immediately, but this summer I replayed every HM I own and discovered the charms of wooing everyone at the same time and choosing the best one... man, some look shallow but when you get to know them, they can melt you with one line, so... I guess: Don't be so sure of your position Neil, FIGHT FOR YOUR FARMER GIRL! :) )

I can't say anything more, as I haven't played it yet. Stay tuned though ;)

Gamestop website is confused and says that it's coming out next month...who here wishes that was true?...I know I sure do.
When my dad pre-ordered it from Natsume, he said, "This order will be shipped after the release date of 10/23/2012 for Harvest Moon 3D: A New Beginning 15th Anniversary Edition." I copied and pasted to him what was on Natsume's facebook page about pre-ordering being available, so, I don't know what to think. If it's true, then I am very excited. (Not like I wasn't, anyways. :P)

Anyhow, I just love everything about this game. The characters seem interesting, customization, just everything makes it sound like a really fun game.

I have a countdown set for it on my phone. :)
From what I've seen so far I like the graphics in this one a lot other than the cow. Am I the only one that's really creeped out by the cow..? :shifty:
As soon as I get it my first priority is to start getting people moved in so I can meet everyone.

I'm with you; that cow has creeped me out since I first saw it. The hair... The horns... The eyes... Just creeps me out.

I miss the AWL cows..
Though I find the rest of the animals to be adorable!
I have high hopes for this game. Cuteness aside, AI seems to have improved a lot and that's always something I can appreciate and get excited about.

I'll probably have to buy the game during winter break, seeing as I won't have the time to play it during the semester. But along with a 3DS XL, it would be the perfect Christmas/birthday gift for myself. :lala:

I am not looking forward to having to find recipes. I'd be easier just to throw random things together. Oh well, no more failed dishes.

Aww, Love the fan-art :)

I also hope after they release ANB that they'll announce Rune Factory 4 too. :O This and RF4 are the reason I want/might get a 3DS. :D

Oh, I am so excited for just about everything. Despite playing HM games for over 11 years now, I've never been on the ball with a release of a game. I've always been sorta behind somehow...XD So it's really exciting!

Some key things I'm pumped for:
-long haired kitties, just because they sound adorable (crazy cat lady IRL practically)
-the dating aspect of the game, not just going from friends to marriage all at once
-blueprints!
-giant crops, they always make me giggle
-crazy customization details--I can finally marry the WP as a 'girl!' (didn't do it in my JP DS Cute version because I didn't like the WP much, married Leia instead)
-Sengoku, he's just about my ideal man. XD
-broccoli and other crops we've yet to grow in a HM game

...I'm just excited overall. I said this somewhere else, but I do intend to skip my two classes I have the day it's released. And I plan to drag my boyfriend to the midnight release at Gamestop just so we can get our games (hopefully he'll get ANB, he loves HM too but doesn't have a 3DS yet).

I've even warned my French professor. Told her I wouldn't be there on the 6th of November because of the release. She said to have fun with it, and tell her about it the following week. This is why I love being the top student in my class.
