I wouldn't say that. The yak's will be getting a lot of love, just not from some people who really wanted a cow!

However, was it even possible to order two months ago? I ordered my cow on October 1st, and if I recall correctly preorders on the natsume site werent even up till November 6th... So, more like a month and a half.

They say they'll be shipping "some" starting today…

I'm guessing they'll start shipping from the first preorders and continue down the list until all are out (which'll take more than a day)
And I get the feeling it could be that they're shipping the anniversary edition first, but I dunno…

Ugh, and I was waiting till like last minute to preorder because I was being lazy. I wish I had preordered earlier. It might not have made much of a difference since I likely would have preordered from Amazon anyway.

Went ahead and preordered through Natsume. Considering how late I am, I doubt I'll get it any earlier than if I had gotten it through Amazon, but oh well. Might as well try. Plus, now I get a Yak plushie (which I think was cuter than the cow anyway... and I wasn't paying $10 for a giant cow).

They're just shipping today, so it won't be in stores but it may be sometime next week!
(They've begun shipping to retail stores as well)

They posted the FAQ on facebook (in the notes) and their forums.

Basically, the yak orders (including those of us who ordered both yak & cow) wont ship till Tuesday but they ARE now getting them all out prior to the original release date. So I don't even mind, personally. SO HAPPY

I actually ordered from Gamestop July 6th. I still have the receipt. ;-; I've been waiting a very long time!

Got charged by Natsume for my Harvest Moon+cow. Haven't been charged by Gamestop yet, and they don't charge until items are shipped.

You can still preorder, they're still up on the site. The only thing is that your order might not ship as fast as the ones who ordered before you.

But it's still earlier for everyone, either way!

Either way, I better preorder soon. The yak looks adorable, but I've never had a Harvest Moon cow and this might be the biggest they make in a while. I hate choosing!

Actually Natsume has been saying that Amazon IS one the yak-carriers (that sounds terrible when I say it that way lol).
