This kind of explains why I'm so attracted to Sengoku so much. WOW. xD
I absolutely loved Shigure when I was little (read the books in middle school. « Harvest Goddess » I'm old).
Mako is my favorite villager from ToTT, and I always say Mako + Kana = Sengoku. Yay~!
I love this dude. I hope he smiles/smirks like that often. It kills me.

That smirk! What is it with older looking guys and that smile that makes my heart goes *badump* ?Lon Lon wrote:I'm sorry but I can only think of this.Nurse Fin wrote:Soseki is like Kaji from Evangelion but not as cool :p
I can imagine him saying lovely romantic things to the MC with that smile. That would be enough to make me like him. He can't blush though, it doesn't fit him! He's too cool to blush! :pFuji wrote: I love this dude. I hope he smiles/smirks like that often. It kills me.

I honestly hadn't thought of him as being similar to Mako! With the side-by-side images, though, I can totally see it. It actually makes me like him a bit more. Mako was one of my favorite characters from ToTT. If Soseki has lots of fun personality, I think I'll warm up to him.
...That sounds terribly superficial.
Don't judge me too terribly.

This so much. xD And yeah, I hope his 'blush' isn't really a blush...so excited to see all his expressions though.mivaness_91 wrote: I can imagine him saying lovely romantic things to the MC with that smile. Aww yeah I read Fruitsbasket in middle school too. In fact I've been re-reading them lately...
I made the exact same association with him and Shigure but since it's just because he's an "older" writer in traditional clothing, I felt kind of shallow for making that connection. I'm glad I'm not the only one XD I used to like Shigure a lot too, but reading him now and understanding more, I just think he's a creep hhahahah.
I bet I'll like Soseki though. The only things that make me wary are that his gimmick might get a little old (I had to drop Toby in ToT after too much nap talk) and that his facial anatomy is a little odd.
Actually, I kind of wish they'd just made him look like the real Natsume Soseki. I think he's pretty handsome in that picture there. Like a japanese Nichola Tesla.

Hahaha -- well, his Japanese name is Sengoku, though. :c I guess they didn't want to use that name for some reason, and picked up "Soseki" since novels yay.Blue Bell wrote:Actually, I kind of wish they'd just made him look like the real Natsume Soseki. But yeah, Soseki's pretty awesome, I took a course on him in college. (I recommend Matt Treyvaud's translation of Botchan, available on Kindle, if anyone is interested in reading some of his work. It's a really modern, funny translation, and you could probably finish it in a day. n_n)
