They've mentioned in the past that some payment options take longer to clear, so maybe the fast-clearing credit cards that got approved before a bank/wire/paypal transfer were shipped first.

This was not the case this time. No store even knows that it "maybe" releasing tomorrow. They said if it did change today they would be doing overnight shipping to all the gamestops and sending it out to arrive tomorrow around noon (the time at my gamestop at least). That's what they told me.
However you are correct that is what they do. Just Natsume pulled a fast one on everyone.
I'll tell you, the stores are going to be steamed. We always hated getting our college team shirt the after a game. there were always millions to prep, and everyone needed them that second, but since we had only found out about them that morning, we were rushing to get them out.
also. got order confirmation from Natsume and my bank has been charged, so I should have mine soon~
Nothing from Gamestop yet.

Congrats, mine got shipped my expected delivery date is Monday, but I'm sure I'll get it tomorrow since the last place it got scanned is near me.

Exactly :D ^ I could have switched over and bought it from Natsume instead, but I prefer free shipping through prime.. not to mention since it's first come first serve, I'd probably end up getting it around the same time anyways.

@GamerJustin: Yes, very much. Especially happy for my friend, since most of what he has wanted in a HM game appears to be in ANB with the customization, and he hasn't played HM since AWL. And I'm a huge Witch Princess fan so that's always a bonus too, although I imagine I'll still play a girl MC first. You?

I've played every Harvest Moon known to date so far, but I'm super excited to be able to customize the MC. I'll probably play as the male character then after I marry all the girls at least once then I'll play as the female MC on my second file. Hopefully I get it tomorrow or by Monday for I can have it for Tuesday since one of my classes was canceled at school so I will have to wait a while in the student union until my next class starts. If I get it tomorrow I'll post pictures on here. :D

Ohhhh so lucky. I've played most of them, but I think I haven't played 2 of the GBC ones, Friends of Mineral Town, DS, (only their girl counterparts) and several I haven't gotten far in.
Good luck getting it so you have something to do to kill time. :D
