Early delivery dates?!? « Mayor Thomas », it's like they WANT me to stop doing my homework.
*grabs personal credit card and pre-orders game right now*
This isn't the time to wait for my mom to get home and negotiate me getting the game with her, if gamestop/natsume WANTS me to stop doing my homework for a few days after I get the game I will! (this is what happened when I got Animal Parade).
Plus it still counts a pre-order and I get a yak plushie. Kinda sad I don't have the irony of going to vote on election day then go get my game anymore, but hey, less driving.
Deliver soon, California ho!
Now to actually get a 3DS to play it on...

Our store is weird with things like that. There is another one of our stores across town, maybe a 20-30 minute drive from mine. But « Harvest Goddess » forbid anybody want a transfer from one to the other. IT TAKES UP TO 4 WEEKS!Nurse Fin wrote:Probably more than one fedex office in Memphis. Kinda funny that it didn't travel very far, but I guess that depends on the destination, too.
Apparently they send to the warehouse, THEN to the store its supposed to go to....
Nothing yet. Its Sunday, so nothing happens here mail wise. By the time I wake up tomorrow, I'd better have a new Harvest Moon game!
They just had to make the early release the same week as my credit card and car payment.Squkyshoes wrote:Early delivery dates?!? « Mayor Thomas », it's like they WANT me to stop doing my homework.

Oh wait, good thing I read through this and other threads before ordering. It's going to be cheaper and faster for me to just pick it up in stores than to have it delivered to my house and have to spend on shipping.
And because I really should ask,
Would it really be worth it to buy the 3DS XL versus the regular 3DS? Given the fact that I have never owned a handheld gaming system (other than my iphone, I guess), I would really love some input on whether the 3DS XL and all it's new features is really worth the extra price. (3DS XL = $200.00 ; 3DS = $170.00)

Price is something you should consider as well even though its only a 30 dollar difference.Squkyshoes wrote:Oh wait, good thing I read through this and other threads before ordering. I like the 3DSXL a little better. Its better for adult sized hands and the screen is bigger. It stretches the screen a bit and somewhat makes some of the images a little pixely, but I don't mind that.
It seems to have better battery life that the smaller one and you can even connect to a secure wireless network (unlike the ds, which needed an unsecured network)
The only major downsides I see in the XL is that it only comes in two colors, and there aren't accessories yet. but its was easy for me to get used to.

Oh, I got my 3DS XL for super cheap. I guess I was just lucky.
I'm not picky on color or accessories, so for me, 3DS XL was the way to go after playing with a DS Lite for the past four years. I don't have the problem of things being pixely, curiously. Everything is nice and crisp and very detailed, and the battery life is supberb. I would definitely recommend getting the 3DS XL.

There aren't that many differences between the 3ds and the 3ds xl besides obviously its size and cost. If you want a bigger system, then go for it. It has slightly better battery life, and a bigger screen...but if you want to save some money and don't mind a normal "ds sized" screen, then the 3ds will be fine. The internet is the same on both of them, and so are the games, so there isn't much difference.
Just pick whatever one you think you would like the most! ^_^ I only have a DS Lite and my new purple 3ds, so I haven't actually played a 3ds xl, but I'm sure it's fine.

Actually, I used my trade in money from gamestop to get mine cheap too. xPHummingGillz wrote:Oh, I got my 3DS XL for super cheap. I guess I was just lucky.

I didn't play with my 3ds much, so I dont know all its capabilities. If its all the same other than size, then it shouldn't matter too much. I just like the XL better because my hands seem to fit it better. Also, it gets less smudgey with fingerprints.chocolatechip wrote:There aren't that many differences between the 3ds and the 3ds xl besides obviously its size and cost.
