can you make gold lumber or do i have to buy it? and exactly what can i use it for?

You can got the Gold lumber from:
-Buy it from Gannon for 100000G
-Make it on your Kitchen using lumber, Copper, Silver, Gold and a 10,000G ticket
-Raise monkey heart to three heart (In wild animal island) they will bring you the gold lumber sometime

The gold lumber needed for make a fence for your tree or upgrading your furniture.

how do i get the recipe?

You can learn this recipe from Haila at the cafe if you give her a piece of gold.
(You can got the gold from mining)

I play the game earlier this year, play as a boy and finish the storyline, marriage to natalie
and I already bored with the game. Need focus for college next year :T

You can also get some gold lumber as birthday gifts from the villagers. I think there were at least two villagers that gave gold lumber on certain years.... (I want to say Will and Mark). Not a good way to get a lot, but better than nothing and cheaper than buying or making it yourself. ^_^

One of the best ways I've found to get gold lumber is to befriend the monkeys on Animal Island and have them find building material.

I just get golden lumber by buying it, I don't have patience to befriend them actually!
