Something cooked will give you more stamina than raw food. There are a few recipes you may want that take mushrooms, but you won't need them until summer year 2 at the earliest, if at all. You can roast the poison mushrooms you find. If you have chickens then cooking eggs is also a common method people go with.

Okay, thanks. I got the fishing rod, so I'm hoping that will help out a bit with finding food.
Another question... after the renovation is complete, is it safe to remove decorations? I'm working on renovation #2 and I really don't like those bushes from renovation #1.

Yup. Once you've got the next plan Dunhill won't notice if you undo the work of the previous one.

Wheat has to be watered, right? I know it takes a season to grow. Is it worth spending the energy, food and money to water twice a day? I planted on regular soil.
(Sorry for all the questions. The ANB section isn't really complete here. ><)

You need 5 wheat to build Soseki's house, so unless you want to trade for all the things you need to clear the restoration plans then yes, it is.
You can also unlock grape seedlings about a year early if you ship 15 wheat.

Ah, yes. This is why I have 5 fields of it growing. I just didn't know if speeding up the growth time was worth it. I'll just keep fishing for food and watering twice a day then.

If you have a chicken that produces eggs I would combine the eggs and milks to make your self pudding. If you want something cheaper make herb and/or mushroom soup. It's easy to make and depending on the start rank you can eat 2 and it will fill your hearts up quick. Since you are in year 1 I would not do the pudding but do the soups. You need to make a lot since it will be a low * rank.

Thanks! I've found that for now Clement is a life-saver (just unlocked him... waiting to be able to finish renovation #2). One of his dishes gives me almost all of my hearts back. I've been making soups and I'm gifting him every day but I'm also saving them up for when he's closed. My food tends to only give me half a heart per dish right now. My first chick was born, so in a week or so, I'll start having eggs (1 a day...). I'm already incubating another egg though.

I've planned to propose to Felicity on Summer 1, which would set the wedding date for Summer 8. The problem is that it's supposed to be rainy on Summer 8. If I propose to Felicity on Summer 1, will that force the weather on Summer 8 to be sunny, like it does with festival days that are supposed to be rainy, snowy, or stormy?

Short answer: yes. Long answer, it hardly matters. The entire day of your wedding is dedicated to the wedding.

Thank you! That's a relief.

Yes, only trees and grass don't need water.

Tea leaves count as trees so they don't need to be watered.

If you use an ultra watering can and water less than 9 fields, does it waste stamina? Or does it only take as much stamina as the fields you actually water?
(Same question for other tools too, but the watering can is the only one I intend to upgrade right now.)
