I'm in year one, Fall 23, and when I try to give them their flower and insect they said they can't accept them and I don't get why. D: Just that she can't take presents today and he said he can't take it because his sister will scold him.

While we're on the subject, any benefit to friending them?

That is weird I accidentally gave Alice a Turnip and I found out its her most hated gift.

If you ignore someone for a long period of time they won't accept gifts. Try again later.

There is no benefit to befriending the sprites.

And Justin, I ended up getting them confused one time and ended up giving Aaron a flower. he was so sad, I felt bad.

I felt horrible! I accidently gave Aaron a flower for his birthday when he meandered a bit too close to Alice. I insta-reloaded the game. He's just too precious and seeing him so depressed...
