Oh Clover, it's amazing! :) And so fast too! I concur with Reni, I really like how you did Xilan's hair. The poor gal looks a little tuckered out. I have no idea what the Eastern Farmer outfit is doing either, but I like your interpretation~ Thank you so much! And I don't know what you're saying, your cow is wonderful and really cute. I'm going to say that's Buble. She's just hanging out there going, "what's up, moo".

I sort of want to color this, but I really shouldn't since I have so much else to do. Perhaps some other time?

This will go straight into Xilan's profile after I finish housecleaning the post. >.< So messy (and I want to add so much)!

@Clover Magic: OMG!!!! I love how you drew Xilan!! She looks beautiful hot in that picture. I adore her the waves/curls in her hair. And love the touch of little ribbon of the tips of her thigh high stocking. And I adore the cow off to the side. I just love the who thing. Beautiful, beautiful work!!

@Clover

uh9pbhueverq too good, okay.

@Reni

Those are beautiful! And glad to see that you liked the thing, even though I've been in such a graphics rut lately.

@kuma

Oh yes, it's official now. GUYS, WE'RE THROWING OUR WEDDING AT DUNHILL'S PLACE, BRING LOTS OF GIFTS-

/smacked

I finally finished my drabble with Sama's family! It's a bit...eh, if that describes it.
Spoiler:
“Ciel, get your butt over here.”

The boy begrudgingly drags himself across the floor, letting out more than a few melodramatic sighs on his way to the table.

“What did I do this time? It’s not like I went insane and threw barn dirt everywhere. What? Don’t give me that look. I was five,” he grumbles, tossing his golden hair over his face. I don’t know what it is with teenage boys and their hair flipping...

“I don’t think she’s mad because of that, Ciel,” my equally grumpy husband says, sleep still hanging onto his every word.

Yeesh, this clearly isn’t a morning family.

After Neil willingly cooks us breakfast (and to Ciel’s apparent relief, considering his passionate hate for eel - although I’d never make it at the crack of dawn), I fling the doors open and welcome in a new day.

The smell of poop awaits me.

Oh, joy.

As the summer sun pounds down on our little farm, I can’t help but notice the strain that’s decided to take a piggyback ride on me. It seems as though it’s happening way more than usual, but I wonder why? I guess it must be part of the reason that Ciel calls me an old lady, with a bit of prodding by Neil.

Somehow, my body finds itself sprawled across the middle of the field. I’ve always liked the feeling of grass tickling my cheeks, a bit like the fairies that swirled all about my youth.

Oh, who am I kidding? I’m still a...woman-child. Yeah, that describes it.

I haven’t felt so relaxed and serene in a while, especially considering how I don’t get too worked up over the little things. As my stress drifts away in the breeze, I realize that I haven’t actually done anything fun in so long. Not to mention that Ciel’s been almost as irritable as his dad, although I might just want to do what every mom does – blame it on the hormones and run.

Evanescent light bounces off the tiny dew drops that spray everywhere as I get up. I’ve always liked the feeling of mist clinging to my skin, water swallowing up my legs as a certain emerald creature leaps about. It’s too bad today isn’t one of those days, or else I’d take Ciel for some frog-catching. Of course, that’s assuming he’d even want to go. Unsure of what to do, I heave my hammer over my shoulder and head out to whack some trees.

Don’t judge me.
~~~
Amethyst paints the sky as gold retreats into the ground. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a glint of light that soon vanishes. I don’t spend another second thinking about what I’m getting my family into today.
“Neil! Stop trying to figure out how the instant curry works – we all remember what happened last time,” I holler as I shut the door behind me. The all-too potent smell of curry powder hits me square in the face as his fingers fumble over the instructions. What a wonderful thing to
return to as soon as you get home!
“Yeah, I know. Leave all the cooking to you,” he says with mock despair, although I can see the worry flashing across his face.
He knows my shenanigans so well.
I tow two perplexed blondes behind me as I head up the mountain, far too pleased that I can hardly hear any cicadas. The wind caresses my cheek as the scent of dusk twirls about. The sound of parched grass crunching under feet is a bit too prominent as the entire forest falls under a hush.
“Mom, what are you doing? Don’t tell me this is like last time where you dressed up as a ninja and tried to scare people from behind a bush,” I cringe at the memory, recalling Iroha’s quick reflexes. Something tells me that Ciel wasn’t too fond of it, either.
“Trust me, this isn’t anything bad. I used to take you firefly catching all the time when you were younger. Don’t you remember?” I assure him, pulling out a few jars. Neil raises an eyebrow when he sees me grab them out from my dress, a few gems and a watering can nearly spilling out in the process.
You’d think he’d be less shocked, considering that he saw what I did to Allen at the Cow Festival.
I look at Ciel, who seems to be enticed by the sight of fireflies taking on the role of stars that dot the sky. Though he’d probably never admit it, he’s still got the imagination and dreams that he had when he was a toddler. I hand him a jar with a few hovering orbs of light, their glow remaining steadfast against the dark that quickly approaches. He beams and catches some of his own. Heck, he even forces Neil to do the same! Ciel flits about as he takes everything in, before snatching Neil and I and bringing us up to the spring.
“Can we let them all go at once? It’d look really cool, and I’m sure that none of these guys would want to be trapped by themselves,” he asks, tugging on my sleeve.
We start unscrewing the lids. Just like that, every single firefly we caught lights up the sky, twinkling like pixie dust. By now, the sky’s turned into a deep sapphire, although there are bursts of colour that illuminate anything they can find. As I glance over at Ciel, I can’t help but think about how his smile shines brighter than any of these winged stars.
Pointless fluff. Sam seems a bit more mature, but I guess that's a given, since she has a teenage boy and everything at the time this is supposed to be set in. Oh, and bonus points to you if you get the reference I made to your comic ;D
@Reni: Thank you! <3 It's actually kind of Detective Conan-styled curls, lol. It's my main fandom, so I got a lot of style elements from it.
@Jeanne: So glad you like it! <3 I think she just got done pushing those dratted cows out of the barn, hee hee. And I am glad you like my cow and clothes even if I don't know what I'm doing ahaha. XD;; And color it whenever! Or have someone else color it. It is yours now~
@ForbiddenWolf19: Thank you! The ribbons are actually on the outfit itself. c: It's hard to extrapolate from the pixellated in-game renders though.
@DarkRecon: Lol clearly we need to invent stronger jaw bindings. Thank you!
@Awkward Llama: Aww thank you! <3
In Aivyl news, I've more or less decided on maybe marrying Michelle in his file, for various reasons. It was between Michelle and the WP anyways, since I find Iroha, Yuri, and Tina boring, and Felicity's pretty but her personality doesn't grab me. Besides, naive Aivyl being taken advantage of is a good chance for character development and dramatic tension in the storyline, lol. Michelle grabbed me a bit more than the WP did, so I decided on her. Funny, considering I normally hate pink but I actually really like her character design for some reason. Go figure. It's probably the curly pigtails, I have a weakness for low-set curly pigtails.
Guys... I think I'm obsessed (or I'm just trying to avoid my homework).
Weird how inspiration works! Clover's fabulous drawing of Xilan then made me draw my own character? @3@ (And wow, I have not written Chinese in ages, I apologize to anyone who can actually write at how terribad my characters are. x.X)
Spoiler:
And the close up which has better quality for some reason:
Can I say I love drawing profiles? I can focus on the body so much more and the nose shape and gah, I really had a lot of fun! The paper is enormous and therefore unscannable, making not so quality photos the only method to get these online. Sometimes I wish I was better at digital art, because it'd make my life 50x easier. Also, hidden shipping implications? I don't know what you're talking about... *whistles* :lala:
@Clover
Oh, I can definitely see the Detective Conan elements now that you mentioned them! I watched the anime a lot when I was a wee kid in Taiwan, but I can't say I remember too much. ^^;
Pssh, your "I don't know what I'm doing" is already pretty darn amazing! I agree though, that it's hard to figure out what in the world those outfits are actually consisted of at times. Improvise all over the place! Ahaha, then the cow is probably all smug over how she is the slowest thing ever. Again, thank you so much! (Hopefully I can do Aivyl justice then~)
And oooooh, Michelle/Aivyl is a ship I can ride. We're going to have ourselves a port! Dramatic tension and character development is the best, so I'm pretty excited to hear anything you tell us about their escapades.
@Reni
DANG I don't know what you mean when you say you need more guy practice. Not that practice isn't good, but- what I mean to say is that Xander's looking really dang snazzy and super cool. You did a fantastic job. ^^
@Awkward Llama
I really liked your drabble with Sam and her family! I agree with you, that she would be a little more mature as she became a mom, and I think you captured that well. The voice is also really nice and definitely full of Sam. I'm sure Sama will like it. :)
I'm in the mood to draw people's OCs, in my gingerbread chibi style (it's what I call 'em due to their nubby limbs). And I'm also interested in experimenting with chibi styles. Of course, I wouldn't mind doing some regular head-shoulder shot of people's OCs. Anyone interested? *had too much coffee* >_>;
Is it too late to join the party? I like stories... and such. Fall 10 here. Year one.
Name: Tirami
Age: 20 3/4
Birthday: Winter 17
Gender: Female
Relationship Status: Single and wondering why Neil's being nicer to her
Favorite Animal: Cats
Favorite Part of Farm Life: Cooking what ever she's managed to grow/gather/get from animals
Least Favorite Part of Farm Life: Not getting to eat most of what she's made because she's very careful with money to a point
Most Loved Gift: Earl Grey Tea
Most Hated Gift: Onion Salad
Dreams for the Future: To learn every recipe, catch every fish, and have a huge stock pile of tea and a husband to share it with
Things that annoy her: Never having enough time in the day to do everything she wants
Things that make her happy: Food, tea, friendship, tea, happy animals, tea, giving gifts, fishing, and long lasting traps
Personality
Spoiler:
She tries her best to be calm and gentle like she knows she is, but can't help squealing and showing her emotions in little bursts. She laughs a lot, keeps to herself and indulges in writing, often with a cup of tea by her side. Her farm is filled with the tempting bushes which she cares for a great deal to fuel her hobby. She tends to hoarde her ingredients only to go on a massive cooking spree a few days later in an attempt to empty out her over flowing fridge. She tries to be kind, giving, and gentle, though her tendency to quickly react works against her.
Bio
Spoiler:
A young woman with a passion for cooking, all she hopes for is to somehow gain high quality ingredients and cook everything he heart desires. Once she learned that there are recipes in the rivers and waters, she spends every spare moment by the river and waterfall, fishing out the laminated bits of paper that power her passion. She's come to make herself known in the cooking world, making good friends with Clement due to a shared interest. She tries to keep everything she finds and holds a firm belief that everything will be useful in good time... Until she decides that she really needs money. Or pens for writing. Her nights, after all the fishing and careful gathering of mushrooms and fruit, consist of writing stories and burning the midnight oil to stumble into a half awake stupor at 6 AM. Even with that, she faces each day with Watering Can in hand, caring for her spare few animals and bountiful tea trees.
Gift Dialogues
Spoiler:
Most Loved Gift - Is that... Earl Grey? I love tea! You really thought about this... Thanks, now I can write all night long.
Loved Gift -Can I eat it? No? Yes? Either way, this is great.
Liked gift- Well isn't this shiny. Thanks!
Neutral gift - How sweet! Thank you so much.
Disliked Gift - It's the thought that counts...
Hated gift - How... wonderful. Yes. Wonderful...
Most hated gift - Please... I hate onions. Take it away. Now.
All I have so far...
Oh good! I was nervous. This is going to be fun. I suppose I should keep playing and think about Tira's heart events...
Amir... and Sanjay. Splitting files. We all have odd little bits of criteria for our bachelor/ettes. Tira's is that they need to like tea. Part of the reason why I couldn't pick Soskei. He hates tea!
I'm pretty split between Amir and Sanjay too. I'll just have to pick one, because my 2nd file's going to be a guy. xD
Soseki is probably the least favored bachelor for me. One main reason is because... He reminds me of my eldest brother (with his humor and stuff, not so much on age rant). Neil is another problem because he behaves like my youngest brother. >_>;
