Been addicted since 1995, although at first I didn't really like the original Harvest Moon game because I saw it as a never ending game. But, I've gone back to it recently and saw it's charm and appeal. I'm planning to flesh out my character more at some point (probably once I unlocked more of the characters. I'm slowly getting through the first year (In Fall of Year One). Although I can say that I'm certainly enjoying this more than the last two Harvest Moon titles that been released.
But, the original Harvest Moon game had an ending. The first HM game to come out was on the SNES and you only had 2.5 years before the game was over. Also, it was released in Japan in 1996 and was released in America in 1997 and 1998 in Europe. The GB one didn't have an end and that was released in 1997 in Japan and 1998 in NA. Sorry, I just love the original SNES one it'll always be my favorite; that one did have an ending, different endings in fact depending on what you did in the game (whether you got married, had kids, had a lot of chickens/cows, grew a lot of crops, etc).
Everyones characters are so good btw~

Gaaaah! I can't edit Marisa's profile (page 6) right now because my 3DS thinks it's funny to cut off half of my post. I'll have to do it tomorrow at school during the lunch hour or something. I can't even post a picture of her because my phone went in to get fixed and I won't get it back for at least another week yet. -headdesk-

Name: Aniram Galewind Age: 19 Birthday: Fall 4 Gender: Female Relationship Status: Super Single Favorite Animal: Moth (Small White), cat Favorite Part of Farm Life: Watering crops with the spring and harvesting Least Favorite Part of Farm Life: Planting and fertilizing Most Loved Gift: Sunflower Most Hated Gift: None; she's happy to receive any gifts at all, because giving a gift requires thought, though she's less happy for some and won't easily forgive you if you give her something she's previously told you she doesn't like. Dreams for the Future: To have the town be lively again and to have a good life. Whether that means marriage and a family she isn't terribly concerned with. Family: Her parents are both college professors; she has an older brother (22, a sculptor that uses computer parts) and a younger brother (13), and a very large extended family. Best Friends: Emma, Hana, Toni, and Iroha Things that annoy her: Allen, her Alpaca (Hugend) that gets frightened by the littlest thing, and the Gardening Tour. Personality/Bio
Spoiler:
Personality: Easy-going and quiet around strangers, Aniram is happiest when running around the mountain foraging and tending her garden. Aniram opens up easily when she gets to know someone, and enjoys listening to others talk. Aniram loves to help (as a child she mostly just got in the way so she was always told not to help, so it's what she wants to do most), and doesn't really like other people feeling that they owe her (unless they stated beforehand that payment was necessary). Aniram dislikes people who disregard the thoughts of others easily or don't even stop to consider it. She doesn't like animals too much but will care for any living things. Bio: Her parents didn't actually own the farm; it was in her extended family but Aniram was the only one who wanted to have it after her relatives decided that they didn't want something they weren't using. Her younger brother demanded a lot of attention growing up, so Aniram's become used to just fading into the background, knowing her parents would always be there for her when she needed them. To her, that's what counts. Aniram was a bit of a deadbeat, dropped out of high school at 16 despite being intelligent enough to succeed and got a G.E.D. and went to the college her parents work at. But after a series of unpleasant events Aniram decided to drop out of college for a bit and seek a new beginning taking care of the family farm for a year or so. She loves plants (her mother has always had multitudes of houseplants and done a bit of gardening), though she's not used to the green around Echo village because she's from a cold, windy desert high in the mountains.
After meeting Dunhill, though, Aniram changed her plans to stay at the farm and even take on a few animals to help the village prosper. She had never really lived on a farm or ranch before, but her best friend lived on a large property where they raised horses and goats (for their wool) and Aniram would help out there.
Gift Dialogue:
Spoiler:
Favorite: Oh! ...This is my favorite flower, you know. I don't really like the sun too much because it hurts my eyes, but I like the color and the warm feeling. Sunflowers make me feel like I'm sleeping in a warm window... Loved: Nice! ...Oh, wait, is this for me? Really?! Thanks! This is so awesome! (Rice dishes, flowers, herbs, bread, animal food, fertilizer, seeds, apples) Liked: Wow, thanks! This is pretty cool. Thanks again! Disliked: Ah, thanks for thinking of me. But I don't really like it, so you can keep it. I'm sorry. (Strawberries, turnips, soil, lasagna, fish (excluding eel), cheeses) Hated/Tried Again: I know I told you that I don't like this. I guess I thought you cared about me more, to just forget that. Sorry, I'll try to use my head more.
Spoiler:
Figured I'd join in too finally. xD I don't have any real drawing programs on this computer (stupid Windows 8 is stupid and not fit for anything without a touchscreen but alkjadsla;lasl;kadsals;fkd anyway). Didn't want to go to the trouble of doing a physical sketch and scanning it because I'm lazy. xD;; My character is super heavily based off me, because when I'm playing a game (especially like this one) I tend to project myself onto the character.

Woopss, lol. I meant, I didn't like because I got a horrible ending and didn't want it to end. My brother rented the game for me mainly because I was stuck in a cast for the summer. I went back to it recently to try to understand the game's ending. I think this time I got a better ending.

Hello everyone once again! I'm so sorry for the sudden absence, but this last days I've been getting painful cramps that made me have to stay in bed... Buuuuumeeeeer. (´;д;`) The good news is that I feel much better now and I'll resume working on your art-trades ASAP. I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that I'm still accepting art-trades, if anyone's still interested!
@PuriPuri: Maid outfits are the best, no matter what gender gets to wear them! (。・`ω´・。) Resistance is futile! Heehee!
Ok, then on chibi style it is! ♥ And yes, I'd love to see Noah drawn on your style, knowing now how we share the same aesthetic sense. ♥ I'm really excited!
@Vii: Thank you so much! (⌒▽⌒) I really like your style too, specially your coloring!
@Fammy: ... Wow!!! Is that so...? You've been a fan for almost as long as I've been alive... Σ(゜ロ゜;) I... Wow... That's a lot!! Anyway, then you'll surely know what to expect, haha. And yes! ANB is pretty good, specially compared to the past DS games, it feels refreshing and new while also retaining the charm of past favorites. I haven't had so much fun as I'm having now with a Harvest Moon since MFOMT!
@Birdie: JAjsjajsjahsgafsfagshagsgashahshas THEY'RE PERFECT!!! (人´∀`*)Thank you, thank you, thank you Birdie!! I'm so happy!! I already mentioned how adorable I think the first one is, but the second one gets all my praise as well! ♥ Noah being happy with his favorite animals makes my heart meeeeelt. (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`) Once again thank you, I'm so glad you accepted to do an art-trade with me! ♥ And I had the hardest time to actually find the stain, if it weren't because I specifically searched for it and zoomed like crazy I wouldn't have even seen it, haha, the white ink did a good job!
I'll do my best to finish Ahren's chibi soon, I hope I can make you as happy as you've already made me with your drawing. (*^ワ^*)
@Aniram: Hello and welcome! Aniram's little faces are so cute! (*≧▽≦) I also like what you wrote for her most hated gift, that's a very nice thought!
@Kuma: Kuma and Lectra look so very n- What. LOGS??? ON FIRE???????? WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING??????????? (๏д๏;;)

@Kuma
Now Lotte, logs are fine but logs on fire are not. /tsk tsk
All this hair stuff makes me want to draw Lily with a bird nesting in her hair 'cause its brown and messy and could be easily mistaken for a nest. :,D oh and Lotte would probably attract lots of sheep with her poofy hair..../what
@Eizumii
Yay I'm so happy you like them! I really had a nice time with his traditional piece, I've been learning how to use the Copic Sketch markers cause I just started collecting them. Sorry if I didn't have his exact colors. c: ohhhh and I LOVE drawing animals, so I couldn't resist putting his favorites in the pictures. I think he really fit well with my style. /causeicantdrawmanlymen
Take your time! Oh and cramping is terrible I'm usually bed ridden the first day. ;u; so glad you are doing better though! And I'm sure Ahrens chibi will be adorable Lily's is just lovely. Thank you for doing the trade as well!
This is random but I really enjoy your smiley faces- I don't even have those symbols on my keyboard.
Speaking on the subject if art, this place is crawling with wonderful artist, seriously you guys.

@PuriPuri: Thank you! C-cramps are never fun... (。┰ω┰。)
Boys in dresses are the cutest! ♥ Haha, I would totally make Noah wear one, but poor guy, I already make him look cutesy enough... Oh well, dresses aren't so convenient when it comes to farm chores anyway... ┐( ̄ヮ ̄)┌
AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaahhhh! ♥ I really like how it turned out, those eyes make him look so cute! Don't worry about the pose, it is just perfect as it is! Thank you so very much! (人´∀`*)I'll hurry and try to finish Yumi's chibi soon!
@Birdie: My cramps are usually not so bad to make me stay in bed, but I ran out of pills... And If I don't have to go to school, then I'd rather just lie down and suffer in bed than do anything else! I distracted myself with some ANB sessions, and now I'm on winter of my third year, so something good came out of it! Haha. (´▽`;)ゝ
Oh, so Copic markers! You use them very well! Even with my aversion to traditional art I wouldn't mind trying them out... They seem like fun! The colors seemed pretty spot on too, so don't worry about it. And I agree, Noah fits your style very nicely! We should probably start a club... The "we can't draw manly men" club! Now accepting new members! Ahahaha... Sob... (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)
Anddddddd... Ahren's chibi is ready! I hope you like it! ♥
Spoiler:
It's hard to draw muscles on a chibi... I hope he doesn't look wacky or anything!!
PD: Neither do I! But a measly ":)" just won't convey the INTENSITY of my emotions, so I bookmarked a page that has many of these kind of smileys! Feel free to use them!

@Eizumii
Ahh! Thank you! .v. He looks adorable in your style! And I'm so happy to see him with a surf board- did you read my little notes on his history? :,D Before he became a farmer he spent his teen years surfing and also worked as a lifeguard so YAY! That's why he doesn't care to go around shirtless. He's all cute and adorable and I adore it. Again I really like the way you shade ~ Thanks so much again! I really enjoy the pieces you've done. :D
Reminds me I should probably make a ref of him with some clothes on at one point....
Oh yeah! I just started buying Copics a month or so ago, I really love them! The only thing I ever did traditional was sketch until I started using them. c: I really love using markers and these are so nice they blend like paint. I never got into colored pencil 'cause I also felt like I had to press so hard to get a decent amount of color and that would mess up my wrist problems. I paint and dapple in pastels sometimes but not really my thing- markers really are my perfect median for traditional art.

Hey guys, hey guys! Look! A secret bachelor! (ノ゚0゚)ノ~
Spoiler:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I know... I'm so lame and this is dumb... Sorry...
I wanted to emulate this style because it seemed easy and fun... But this took way more than I expected and it still looks way too simple... Oh well! At least I gave it a try!
@PuriPuri: Sorry for the wait Puri! Yumi's chibi is done!
Spoiler:
I really liked how it turned out, I hope you like it too! ♥
@Birdie: I am really glad you liked it! As I said before, it was a pleasure doing a trade with you. (^▽^) And yes, besides looking at their references, I also like to read a little about the character I'm drawing, it's of great help to have an insight on what a character is like! When I read the surfing part I just knew I wanted to incorporate something of it into the piece... Even if I'm still not experienced enough to draw him riding waves or anything... (I still need a lot of practice with dynamic poses and backgrounds) Hahaha, and don't rush it with the clothed pic... I at least don't mind him shirtless... Heheh... ( 〃•̀ω•́)

I know what you mean, I honestly haven't had much fun with the past three installments (but, I am not counting Grand Bazaar all that much since I haven't played it all that much. MFOMT was always my favorite GBA game of the series. Not sure which it is for the DS era. Probably HMDSCute or the original HMDS. I do own the ones after cute, just none of them made an impact on me till now. And, I find it interesting that I'm anxiously waiting for HMGB. But, that's beside the point. I hope next time I post, I can post a drawing of my character.
