I'm annoyed at all of the Town Renovation plans. I understand, the two needs help- got it. But maybe throw me a bone every once in a while? Not a plum (TYVM Harvest Goddess >.<). I feel like there should be more rewards involved with the town renovations. Or maybe some funding for them- considering they've eaten up a HUGE portion of my money. :/

Not. Amused.

But at least they give us target goals. There were target goals in previous games, but I find this one is a bit rewarding. I mean, after all, you're building an ENTIRE town. <3 It's beautifully a pain the neck.

The reward for the third renovation is AWESOME.

You get very far yet? You get great rewards.

Well, as soon as I actually force myself through Winter, which is a terrible drag, I'll be starting TRP#5. The renovation plans are absolutely miserable if you ask me. They force me to play in a way that I normally wouldn't. I can't just have fun with my farm. Instead, I have to hoard everything in the known universe and do a bunch of extra « Cow Poopoo » that I normally wouldn't bother with otherwise.

I don't really have anything to look forward to doing aside from the renovation plans. I've already gotten married, and will have a kid on the way as soon as Rebecca starts selling the plans for the children's bed. I've made at least one of every farm upgrade available to me, and am working on paving my village in brick in my spare time because I just have nothing else left to do to it while I wait.

No, I have plenty of other things to do that don't include a foliage festival. :P I'm also absolutely loving the town renovation system.

You honestly keep nothing when playing HM? You sell everything you can get your hands on and never plan ahead?! The town renovation plans don't make you do much at all, as long you as keep stuff, which you should be storing anyways cause stuff will always be needed.

wait...to unlock Sanjay I need to have 3 gardening tours? oh brother ;n; if only I had known this before. bleh better get to work on that project.

I just do a gardening tour and fail epically. It's sort of fun, except when the guy you're dating starts being really harsh with the critic. :(

The worst item to save up is pearls! You need 10 for a Gorgeous fountain. Also if you want to make the WP house it takes a few random and hard to find items. Those clay dolls!

Honey is hard work too, if you get unlucky and have several rain days in a row or a few days apart, it will take so long to get the honey you need.

Yams and potatoes... damnit ;_; How do you unlock yams?

Yams are unlocked in Fall Year 2. Can they only be grown in Fall? since I was going to ask for bag over wifi but since I'm in Winter Year 1 it'd be kind of dumb, since by the time I can grow them they'll be unlocked anyway.

The WP requirement and pearls that you described, Mz D, sounds really annoying. I hate it when the game makes it so you have to wait a day if you can't get the items you need that day, especially ore and things like that. In the other harvest moons, you could just go into the mine and get the things you needed that day. :1

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said that. I hoard plenty in other HM games too, but this game takes it to an extreme I don't usually bother with. There's no finesse in hoarding in this game. All I have to do is hoard everything. Instead of actually planning ahead and carefully choosing what I hoard and what I sell, in this game it's just best to keep it all unless you know that it can't be used as a building component.

I tend to plan years in advance in my games. I generally take note of everything and draw up a plan for myself to improve my farm and/or village at my own pace on my own terms. The renovation plans take that away from me. Instead of getting to improve things when I want, how I want, I have to go by those plans and am restricted in what I can do and when I can do it.

That's just not the way I like to play Harvest Moon. I enjoy having the personal freedom to plan for myself.

This isn't really a gameplay annoyance but during the Foliage festival every dialogue almost had something to do with baked potatoes and sweet potatoes and how delicious and awesome they were. I was starving and dying for a sweet potato by the end of the festival :shifty:
