Femme heart events in FG???

i read somewhere that you can trigger the girl's heart events (black to yellow etc) in FOMT:FG as well, even tho you can't marry them. i know there's a fair bit of confusion and disinformation on the net about FG, so i was wondering is this true? popuri and karen seem to be kinda strangely infatuated with me already, so i'm guessing their heart level must be quite high, and if it is high already i don't wanna waste valuable prezzies on them unless i'm gonna get event points or something out of them (ah, how callous 
). in UNoT it lists the black heart events as happening in the game, but can you get any of the rest of the events as well or does it only go up to black? thanks!
