There is a coffin in the basement. He is in it. I believe you walk up to it and press X but I am not sure since I havent played it in a while but I believe thats where he is from my memory.

i think you need a key from the second floor's safe (there's a boss-fight there).

after you get the key go to vincent and talk to him about nightmares and cloud's past. after talking to him 3~4 times he'll ignore you until you leave. before you leave he'll say he wants to join you. ta-da! :)

The key in the second story can only be accessed after you figure out the combination to the safe. I forget the combination ^_^;; After you open the safe you get a boss fight afterwards you get the key and unlock vincent in the basement.

gigashadow: You do not need to start over if you are too low of a level. You just run around and fight things till you are a higher level. Also, if you have the summon knights of the round, you've pretty much got an instant win in the final bosses.

The ending to FF7 sucked. I don't care how you look at it, it sucked :p. The best part of FF7 by far is the golden saucer. I often play FF7 again just so I can get to the part where you first start raising chocobos. Was actually kinda hoping one day square would release a game where the entire point is to breed and race chocobos in the golden saucer.

FF7 is like the game that started the love of final fantasy..besides the previous ones because it was for playstation(my first console..then N64..)...I personally didnt get to play the first two until my dad gave me his old gameboy(the original) and his gameboy games which included final fantasy 1 and 2. Those were the good times but my all time favorite is FF7...notice the sephiroth avatar.....

Umm Final Fantasy 1&2 were both on the Nintendo. The Gameboy had Legends and Adventure. Also your Sephiroth avatar is from Kingdom Hearts lol.
