zaid brags a lot but i think he really just wants to be seen as cool and reliable and be valued by his community. all of his events end with him giving something to kuruna or ondorus instead of acting for his own satisfaction, which i read as him valuing other people's approval more than anything.
basically he shows off because he wants people to like him, not because he actually thinks that highly of himself.
jeez i think way too much about desert dorks
Yeah. That, and he really is very fond of Kuruna and Ondorus. I think he really respects them (and has a thing for Kuruna).
I like Zaid. He was kind of annoying at times, but his eagerness to impress/please Kuruna and Ondorus made me reaaally like him. <3

i wish there were more events with them or that they'd show up in a future game or something auughfghgf stupid dorky desert family is so adorable it hurts
they try so hard to be cool and/or dignified but in the end they're just dorks
also zaid has a really great voice actor that's part of why i bothered with him, his silly little "hey hey hey!!1" thing

Zaid wasn't all too bothersome, but I didn't like him quite as much as I appreciated other non-marriageable characters. Ondorus, on the other hand, was pretty cool, and fairly easy to please. At least I didn't have to give him complex dishes ughhhh...
Besides, I always appreciate a fellow scholar in spirit. But yeah, even with only three characters, the tiny desert settlement somehow managed to have a better sense of community than the entire village of Sharance. -_____-
I guess 'cos there aren't all that many cliques you can form with just three people.....

i got the feeling that 90% of the settlement's population at any time was either people like micah who stopped in but didn't live there permanently, people who spent a year or two there before moving on, or non-sapient monsters or woolies that ondorus invited into his house i mean uh
of all the backstories in rf3 that would be nice to know, i'd really like to hear how zaid ended up living there, it's kind of an odd choice given that sharance had absolutely no problems with dwarves and there aren't any others living out in sol terrano

This.
It's odd to see such a "Ladies' man" settle down in a campsite where the only humanoid female clearly thought herself incompatible with him, while Sharance was oozing with pretty young girls that were so desperate for boys to fawn over, they'd just about settle for their own brothers.
Besides, Gaius bromance.
But yeah, it's a shame that RF3's story was so underdeveloped. Don't get me wrong: there was plenty of content, and the shorter the game, the easier and more fun it is to replay. Still, I would've appreciated more unlock-able background info pertaining to some of the more interesting characters and groups.
« Harvest Goddess » bless the capacity of the 3DS cartridge, I guess...

I'd have to be added to the group that really didn't like her. I'm trying to think of a girl I liked less, but I can't. I guess she is ok, but when compared to the others she doesn't seem near as open and inviting. Even Raven was easier to get along with.
I think giving more details on the other NPC's would be great, but to do it right would take a lot of time and work. We already got 11 girls to date so it's hard really to complain.

I thought her obsession with sweets was a little irritating. I mean, "IT IS YOUR PATRIOTIC DUTY TO EAT CAKE WITH ME"? Really? Other than that, her design was nice and her
was realistic. She had been established as racist, and so finding out would obviously going to upset her. Her reaction, though, was a bit inconsistent. If you tried to talk to her, all she would do was call you a traitor, but then she changed her mind on the matter pretty easily. Overall, she was an okay character, but then again, most of the cast was pretty mediocre in my opinion.
