Fire Emblem Awakening: Who's ready to start matchmaking?
I've heard the pair up AND support system essentially makes your characters broken (overpowered) on the easy and normal difficulties. As someone who's been watching a Let's Play of it on Youtube, I can visually agree with that. So, it should be fairly easy for beginners to jump straight into the game without any prior experience with the series. Plus, there's casual mode that takes out permadeath.

Thank you for your input. Can't wait for the release! :DHisagiluv wrote:I've heard the pair up AND support system essentially makes your characters broken (overpowered) on the easy and normal difficulties. Well, it's a learning process. There's always something new to be had each time one of your units dies/retreats c: One of them, you will find, is that the RNG Goddess can be loving and kind one turn and then spiteful and torturous the next.Googaboga wrote:(Yeah I pretty much resolved to get the game. I hope it doesn't kick my butt though. I suck at these types of games D:)
A good tip in general is to place units on the very edge of an enemy's attack range (with a ranged unit behind them) rather than being gungho and running smack dab into the middle of it, because, most likely, another enemy unit's range will overlap with it. So, yeah, check the ranges of your enemies to make sure you don't get swarmed!
Of course, you also shouldn't rely too heavily on the prepromoted unit at the beginning of the game, aka the Jagen, aka Frederick in this game. A lot of newcomers fall for that since they're pretty powerful (and handy) in the beginning missions. Show your all units the beauty of experience points :>
Unless they have terrible growths. Chuck them out.

You're not the only one Goo. Since I'm a new player in the series and the only SRPG I played was Devil Survivor and so far I'm surviving.Googaboga wrote:^I'm totally going to do the same thing. Except I might not ever bump up the difficulty ^^;.

I don't usually play this type of games because of lack of movement in towns and such.
Looking forward to this since I've been looking for a RPG for my 3DS to play. Is it just me or there's only a small library of RPG games in the 3DS?
In NA yes. In Japan heck no.cinnamon_yuki wrote: Is it just me or there's only a small library of RPG games in the 3DS?
The localization of RPGs has kinda dwindled on 3DS. Its sad really. There are so many amazing RPGs in Japan for the 3DS that will probably never see the light of day over here in NA.
I'm glad to hear that C:. I want to get Devil Survivor too but I haven't gotten it for the same reason I was hesitant to get this game. Maybe after I play FE: A I'll be able to play that game too.cinnamon_yuki wrote:You're not the only one Goo. I'm hoping that they are still going to localize those RPG games.Bluie wrote:In NA yes. In Japan heck no.cinnamon_yuki wrote: Is it just me or there's only a small library of RPG games in the 3DS?

I'm super excited for this game! I've been wanting to make my own unit for a while and the previous games that allowed you to do so were never released in English and were supposedly not that great.
I think I want to be a dracoknight or maybe a myrmidon since I've always loved using those classes. As for who I'll pair with MU, I'm leaning towards Ronku or Krom but it's up in the air.
I can't wait until the demo, only a few more days!
