Fire Emblem Awakening: Who's ready to start matchmaking?

Coming out in NA this year on February 4th is the all new 3DS Fire Emblem game! Hooray!

Keep an eye out for the Demo coming out on January 17th!

A huge part of this game's mechanics is the support levels you have with the games characters. Depending on who and how you woo your child's stats will have a unique growth. You as your own unique character you create at the beginning of the game can woo any of the characters (as long as they are the opposite gender of said person they want to woo).

WHO'S HYPED!? I know we have a huge FE fanbase on this forum (or used to).

I'm really looking forward to:

*Making your own character (Having trouble deciding to make them a silent protag or give them a voice).
*Having a strategy RPG on the 3DS (Freaking finally. I don't like Devil Survivor....)
*The dating sim aspect (I'm a hopeless romantic, sue me)
*You get to be classed (almost) anything you want!
*Promises to be quite a lengthy game

So, which class are you going to be?
Whom are you going to marry?(The Children are marriage too but only for MU)

I plan on being a Griffon rider and marrying either Basilio, Grego, or Chambray

NOTE: Be careful of spoilers in both of those links! Just don't look at the YouTube comments and you should be fine!

/RUBS SELF ALL OVER THIS TOPIC

I think I'll go the generic class route with feMU and be a dark pegasus knight. I really like the mobility.

As for the special S support *points to avatar* Hell yeah.
I really like Chambray and Wood too though.

This game intimidates me. There are so many choices D:. I may get it but I feel like I'd never get anywhere because I'd keep restarting/reloading so I can make different choices XD.

I'll only be able to get it though if they bring it over here through DLC.

I'm pretty sure they'll bring over the DLC that unlock the extra classes. And the bride class is pretty neat even though it initially got a lot of hate.

Goog, you can gain and build supports with anyone throughout the game, and some characters gain support points faster with certain characters. You just gotta save the S rank for that special one. Sooooo, in your primary save file, you can get up to A support with everyone, and then duplicate that save for a second file where you reach S with someone. I read the confession images you get after are saved onto the SD card rather than the game's save file, so you can just use that extra file to gather all the confession images. Mwuahahaha.

That helps C:. But how hard is it to change classes? Because there are so many neat ones I don't know which one pick >.>.

I actually posted a thread about the release date at the start of December. XD
Of course that was over a month ago, so It's good someone posted another thread to make sure people don't forget about the game.

@Googsie
To change classes a character has to be Lvl. 10 in their non-promoted class.
Afterwhich a Change Seal can be used on them to change their class.
However there are only a few classes that each character is allowed to change into.
The only exception being the My Unit and their children, who have access to all classes.
With the exception of unique classes(save Strategists, which is available only to the My Unit and their children), and beastial classes).
So they can't change into the Lord class or Manakete Class.
Although the My Unit's children can inherit the ability to class change into a beastial class if their other parent was either a Manakete or Taguel.

Well from a practical sense, there is a webpage where you can pair choose who the other parent of a child is to see what their available classes and stats will be.
Sadly it doesn't show how they will look.
But that tends to be a basic template with their eye color and hair color matching their other parent.
http://serenesforest.net/fe13/char_max_all.html

Each of the children has a set parent, with the other parent other party members of the opposite gender.
In every case but Lucina(who always has Krom as her father) and potentially Mark(if the My Unit is male); the set parent for each of the children is female.

Children inherit their parent's available class lists(with the exception of unique classes, though they can inherit beastial classes if they are the child of the My Unit), their other parent's hair and eye color(with the exception of Lucina who always has blue hair and eyes); and have stat growths and base max stats of an average of their parents and a basic stat template for their character.

What will happen to the parents? Will they stay or will the children take the place of them?

The parents stay. So you get both the parents and their children in your army.
I'm not going say how that works, as that gives away a major part of the plot.
Only that there isn't an age difference through the course of it.
As evident with the fact that the My Unit can actually marry a character of the second generation.
Though the My Unit is the only character that can do this.

Though the children showing up isn't a certainty unless their set parent marries. The only exception being Lucina, as Krom will automatically marry either Soiree, Mariabel, Sumia, Olivia, or a female My Unit; based on who has the highest relationship with him, if not married before a certian point.

Here is the list of children and their set parent.
Lucina - Krom
Mark - My Unit(Mark's gender is always opposite of My Unit's)
Azure - Olivia
Brady - Mariabel
Degel - Soiree
Cynthia - Sumia
Selena - Tiamo
Jerome - Serge
Chambray - Velvet
Loran - Miriel
Noire - Sariya
Nn - Nono

In every case but Lucina or Mark, the child's other parent can only be one of the following characters:
Frederick
Viole
Sol
Vake
Callum
Ronku
Richt
Gaia
Donny
Grego
Henry
Liberia

Krom can only marry Soiree, Sumia, Mariabel, Olivia, or a female My Unit.
So Lucina will always have one of them as here mother.

Mark's parent can be any character of the opposite gender of the My Unit(with the exception of DLC characters), including second generation characters.
As such, both genders of the My Unit has 23 characters that can be their potential spouse.

If Mark's of Lucina's other parent has a set child, then the other child will be their sibling.
However the only way a male Mark can have a sibling is if a female My Unit marries Krom.
And considering the characters that Krom can marry all have set children of their own, Lucina will always have a sibling.
And there are unique character support events between siblings.
