Like with Lucina in FE:A ... Never really had a problem with Lucina's voice, so I have to say she did pretty well with that one at least.
And this is why I play with the Japanese Voice track on.

Off-topicness aside Vishnal has been compared to Tamaki from Ouran before so I DEMAND HE'S VIC MIGNOGNA /though if he's not that's perfectly fine but it would still be cool

But yeah like everyone says as long as the dub's good I'm good. C:
Agreed. So much. <3

I recognize some VA's but still know squat, so I'll just go with everyone else's opinions on this. xD

I guess I'll get destroyed for saying this, but I enjoy Laura Bailey's voice work.

Also, I really like the fact that Liam O Brien appears in so many things. I honestly think his voice is one of the coolest I've ever heard. I believe that it would only be appropriate for him to voice every single character in the game. Or at least Ventuswill. Yes, I know she's female. I fail to see why this is a problem. :P

^ You're allowed to enjoy something I don't fishie, Its a free country and I won't get upset about it.

Ive just played too many games where Laura Bailey puts on her more squeaky voice and never stops talking, which grates on my nerves extremely quickly (ie: Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers or Code of Princess)

On topic: if Liam O'Brien was to voice someone is this game, I'm not sure who he'd fit as. the new Barret maybe?

Someone asked how long it took to translate the game, and the reply:

"Feels like an eternity. ;)

It's what, June now? Translation began in early October 2012, so... yeah, we've been at this for around 8 months!

Also, Hatsuu on tumblr replied to someone asking about preorders:

I think we’re still looking into that idea, but there’s nothing to announce right now. I’m personally, not officially, leaning towards a no, if only because we put a lot of our budget into upping the 3DS cart size so we could have super high quality voiced lines, but I’m not completely sure yet!

Sorry I don’t have a more firm answer for you! I hope this will be okay for now. "

High quality > preorder bonuses any day of the week, for me.

Also, looks like it won't be dual audio, but they tried at least.

"We've been trying, but it doesn't look like it'll be possible. We won't know for sure until we're closer to master, but I wouldn't count on it. Sorry!

8 months? Holy wow. Those guys are so diligent.
Anyone dare complain now? Thought so.

Eh, honestly I don't think as many people would really actually use the dual audio. It's just one of those things that people will complain about, but then they realize once they have the game that having it...really wasn't a big deal. xD

Actually a lot of people will use dual audio (I'm one of them) and it's a nice feature but unnecessary. I didn't expect them to have it in the game and with all the voiced dialogue I can't blame them.

I half-agree. If it had dual audio I would probably just use the dub voices anyway (though sometimes switch it to Japanese for a change of pace) but I do know that there's quite a crowd that only uses Japanese voices in their games. There's even an undub patch for RF3 floating around the Internet (I don't emulate, mind you, just pointing out an example), so the fan base would probably appreciate the option.

Whatever happens, though, I'm fine since I'll mostly use the dub voices anyway.

What the heck? How long does it take to translate one dumb game anyway? They should have gotten it all taken care of in one month!
/shot to death

Yeah, anyway, nice to hear that they gave that kind of attention to voices. After the trainwreck voice acting in RF2 I'm much happier with that than with an announcement that you may get a stuffed squirrel with your purchase. Also, fourthing the Vic for Vishnal thing. He isn't my favorite VA, but he is cemented in my mind as hilariously hammy, and I like that association. As for dual audio, it's a shame for people who like playing with it, but if they were giving attention to English VAs then it's not a huge deal.

Agreed completely with this. Nice to have, but ultimately unnecessary. They've said that they were really happy with how the voices turned out, so I trust them about that. I'm really happy to know that they spent money on increased cartridge size to make the voices higher quality. I would much rather have that than some silly pre-order bonus, personally.

Mm, I see. Sorry for the generalization; I didn't realize that so many people use the Japanese audio feature if it's there. I actually would utilize it if it were there, but I don't feel a loss from not having it.

Yeah. Sorry again.

In the long run it's better since I'm pretty sure a lot of people aren't going to/aren't able to pre-order the game. Better sound quality will benefit everyone.

I'm so excited for this game!

I'm not upset at all that the placeholder street date was pushed back. The more time to work on it the better. Dual audio would be fine even though I don't use it myself.

As far as voices go. If the voice actors act well then I'll have no problems. Voice direction also plays a role in how well the voice actors do with the script, but hopefully that's a non issue. I'm thinking the dub of this game will be really good. Hopefully, Fire Emblem: Awakening good.

(If I had to enter a personal opinion for voice actors I would say Kirk Thornton for Arthur. Some of Arthur's dialogue, and his look even, kind of reminds me of Jade from Tales of the Abyss.)

Wow, they increased the cartridge size just to give us higher quality voices? I'm seriously impressed by their integrity.
