I have to work all day but I'll keep an eye on tweets and post during my breaks.

My boyfriend doesn't know who XSEED is and so I had to explain the company to them. At the end of my explanation I closed with "... basically they're super heros to a lot of deticated gamers."
I think I successfully got him interested in them as a company.
XSEED really deserves their fans. They work so hard.

Also, guessing "Venti" will be the western equivalent of "Seriza" (nickname of Selzauide, the JP name of Ventuswill).

Alice would have been nice, but I'm totally cool with Dolce. I'd rather them stay as close as they can to the Japanese names anyways :D on my phone, so I'll have to edit the OP later. Thanks for the update!

I rather like the name Venti.

Venti isn't bad. Better then "Venny" or anything like that.

I don't have an issue with it because the nickname works but venti drinks will pop up in my head instead of the dragon. The game will become Starbucks Factory!

I made a twitter to make it easier to follow information. I asked about them releasing a list of VAs when the game comes out but haven't gotten a response yet.

Alrighty, updated OP. Not sure if we'll get anymore updates for today as it seems to be around 3ish name reveals a day. This is day 5 out of 9, so we still have awhile to go :O Still hoping for a few more today.. though it depends on who is doing their voice acting recording, of course

Also, Tom the translator talked a little bit over in the Xseed forum, so I may as well post it here. Someone asked:

Now, I have no idea how accurate that is but, I rather like it and it got me to thinking that it may be altered. I can understand if it's nothing like that officially but if it IS true then I would have to sigh at more 'gimping' of localization. Thank you though for answering me, that really means a lot. May I ask though what do you mean about stiff translations? I'm not sure on translations and such nor do I claim to know anything so I leave it all to the professionals."

Actually, the text you quoted is a good example of a stiff translation. I don't have the files in front of me, so I can't say off-hand how those lines are currently being translated, but if I were to "clean them up," they'd probably sound a little more like this:

D: Hey...Frey?
F: Hmm?
D: I... I want you to promise...that you'll only ever have eyes for me.
D: No one else. Just... Just me. Can you promise me that?

In naturally-spoken English, someone asking you "not to look at anyone but me" just isn't really something that's typically said, and comes across as kind of demanding. But asking someone to "only have eyes for me" is a common romantic saying, and perfectly illustrates the feeling that's being conveyed in the Japanese without sounding unnatural in English.

Again, I'm not saying this IS our translation here... just that this is the type of translation you can expect.

That's a good language translation, keeping it culture consistent. Ever since I have taken to studying Japanese, I've been intrigued by the culture and language expression differences~

Xseed is a great company; keep on shining!

I'm personally glad name changes aren't happening: I've grown quite attached to their names~
