Okay, so i gave like, 5 brooches to Skye, and he just got +1 FP, according to my Love Bangle. Has anyone else experienced this before? (I gave him something he likes before, and the same thing happened.) PLEASE HELP.

When you give presents, the love/friend points only count for the first one. So only the first brooch you gave on one day would count.

yaah man if you're giving him 5 presents per day you're pretty much wasting the other 4.

Unlike Love Points, Friendship points can increase multiple times per day but only the first-gift you give will have the full effect. The extra gifts you give on the same day will lower to a extra-gift scale increase.

First-gift FP scale: +9 / +3 / +1 / -3 / -9
Extra-gift FP scale: +3 / +1 / 0 / -3 / -9

sooo you should have gotten +4 FP for one day.

Unless it's 3 (intial gift) + 1 (2nd) + 1(3rd) + 1(4th) + 1(5th) = 7FP
soo maybe you should have gotten 7??
I'm not sure man but I can tell you this is a horrible method to get anything done!

If you're trying to marry Skye then FP don't really mean anything.
You want to go for the Love points which can only be raised once per day.

If you're trying to raise his FP to see an event or something, you want to: take your cat, find the silver haired romeo, and make him look at your cat 255 times.
Shove that thing in his faaaceee!!!!

You can do that all in one night and his FP will raise by 1 each time you show him your cat.


There is also a method you can do by using a friendship pendent. I'll just mention it because I only found out about it after I was married, might have helped me earlier on.

Friend Broaches
Sprite Shop, 300,000 G to 500,000 G
Friend Broaches are only usable before you go to bed. There are 4 levels of broaches. The starting blue-colored broach will occasionally increase everyone's Friendship Points if you equip it and talk to the people. You will come across a blue, green, cursed/black, and then red Friend Broach.

The best one is in the mines and it's x3 FP for each gift you give a person.
So when you gave skye the broach it would have been 9FP instead of 3 if you had the blessed Pendant equipped.
Also if you wear them before you go to bed they are supposed to raise affection of people. Not totally sure on how that works, I think it's random people's FP go up? Or maybe they don't lower, idk.
Now there are different strength ones, and I don't know how the lower strength ones work either.
Also I'm not sure how they affect Love Points.
sooo maybe someone else can come on here and elaborate.

MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT LITTERING
That means throwing anything on the ground including weeds.
I think you're safe to litter on your farmland and in the mines, but honestly, I don't even do it.
Just get a huge rucksack and store it all away, then you can ship it all and make at least 1G from « Puppy Doodoo ». :) PROFIT!
*littering will lower LP and FP. Because people that litter suck!

Well, actually, i knew i WAS wasting my Brooches, but i gave it to him when i first meet him on the road, and he STILL didn't get any LP...

I'm going after Skye too, but I started to really 'woo' him after I got a kitchen. I started making him curry dishes and his LP went up really fast.
