Comments on my farm layout

Hi. Spent the day reading an old 24 page topic on here about 2 guys who designed farms for other members. Got loads of tips and combined it with my own experience. Is there anyone else able to make any suggestions/improvements to my farm?

I picked up the 2 rows of crops thing playing HM:FoMT, haven't tried it properly on HM:DS yet but it should work the same. For those interested, it would take 32 seed packs to fill every crop space indicated, so this would work best for crops that regrow. For 1plant-1harvest solid blocks the size of the max watering can area would be better, but I'm still in Spring Y1, so a better watering can is way off for now. (So is this whole layout, but I wanna start building slowly and ASAP). BTW, how to I get Ore for tool upgrades? I can't find any rocks or stairs in the cave near the waterfall (taking this from FoMT, don't know if getting ore is the same for HM:DS)? Oh, if there are any crops that can't be touched, let me know. Think all of these can be watered/picked up.
2 of each tree (total of 10). Easy enough. Despite only being in Spring Y1, I've already experimented and found that grass won't grow by fully grown trees. Figure I could plant grass when I plant the trees, and when the grass dies I'll know the trees are fully grown.
I don't know the animal buildings cap (apparently its 7 but I couldn't confirm that) so I went with 3+3. Gonna Start off with a 5+1 until I unlock Woohoo THEN make the 3+3. The 2 temp poultry buildings can just go where an animal building is until I'm done with them. If I can fit more buildings without losing too much crop space, let me know.
Apparently, adult animals eat 1 fully grown grass per day, per animal, with grass needing 11 days to regrow. So I figured I'd need 11 spaces of grass, per animal. 3 buildings with 4 animals per building = 12 animals. Times that by 11 and I figured I'd need a field of 132 squares of grass. The 3 buildings made a row of 18 squares, so I worked out I'd need 8 rows (18 x 8 = 144). That would leave 12 spare grass patches. Harvested a 1 per day, that gives 80 spare fodder in time for winter (first 10 days of spring you can't harvest because the grass isn't grown yet), plus all the grass harvested from the Poultry pen (31x8 harvests a year = 248), plus the grass planted for pathways (72x8 harvests a year = 576), should all equal more than enough (80+248+576=904) to see out winter and the occasional storm (12x30=360 needed for winter food), plus more than a few hurricanes in Summer.
Of the 6 smaller buildings, I don't know which are really needed long term, so planned for all 6.
I've put a lot of thought into this (mostly copied from the thought-work I used for FoMT) as you can probably tell. I'm autistic and this level of calculation is "fun" for me, but I'm guessing alot of people reading this will think I've wasted my time.
Thanks in advance for any feedback. I'm gonna hit the sack soon so look forward to reading your comments in the morning. (23:30 local time for me, so you'll have about 8 hours before I come back).
PS: Looked around for a rules topic or similar, but couldn't find one. If I'm breaking some rules with this topic, I do apologise. I'm using my past experiences of forums in general as a rule-set for now.
